"Really?" he muttered, shaking his head as he tried to clear it, "I just remember darkness . . that's it."

"The Heartless are probably responsible for that." Ava said, looking at him with concern.

"Yeah," he said, sitting up, "They got me good I guess."

"Yeah, and just for the record, you're either running for safety first next time or neither of us are. You scared me to death." Ava said with a slight smile.

"I'm sorry," he said with a broken smile, "I thought I could handle them."

"I know, I'm just glad you're okay." Ava said sincerely.

He smiled at her and got up, a bit dizzy, "We better go back other though and look for Myla."

"Are you sure you're okay to get up?" Ava asked, watching him with wide eyes

"Yeah, I got it." he assured with a faint smile.

"That's what landed you in this situation, thinking you've got it." Ava said with a half smile, teasing him.

"Yeah, but this time I'm sure." he said with a small smile.

"Alright then." Ava said, straightening up away from the couch.

"So, I guess I'd better go thank whoever saved me," Nik said, turning around to look at her, "Where is he?"

"He went thataway." Ava said, indicating the room Erik had walked off into.

"Got it" he nodded, "Mind joining me?"

"Of course not." Ava said with a smile.

"Good," He smiled and led her to the room and knocked on the door. A few minutes later it opened and Erik was leaning against the doorway.
"I see you're up."
"Yeah, thanks for helping me out there." he said, rubbing the back of his head with a sheepish smile.
"We'll be even if you two can get rid of this Heartless threat."

"We're going to do our best." Ava said determinedly "Oh, by the way, how did you get them to leave?"

"They were gone by the time I got there." He shrugged, "A few stranglers I was able to send away. I found where he was after a blinding light shone."

"Blinding light? That's...interesting." Ava said

"Yeah," Erik said, crossing his arms, "But it sent the Heartless away, that's all that matters."
Nik stayed silent, quietly pondering about this bright light.

"Yeah I guess so. That's just, weird." Ava said, deep in thought.

"I guess maybe it's time we go back and try at them again." Nik said, "I'm worried if Myla is here alone, she may not be able to fend off the group of the Heartless." he said quietly.

"If we couldn't together I doubt she can alone. We'd better find her." Ava said, growing worried.

"I'm guessing a friend of yours who can wield a keyblade?" Erik asked, raising an eyebrow.
