"Hey now!" Israel exclaimed, laughing. "I'm offended by that."

"Nope. Clean and sober."

"Looks like we both need a break. Do you hunt?"

"Yeah, yeah, course!" He pushed the door open. He continued to hover around Miss Abigail, trying to get a good look at the new kid. "Why is his hair white? That's weird. I've never seen a kid with white hair. The woman that gives me bread sometimes has white hair, but she's, like, a billion."

"Well, you're the one who faked your death in front of a child." Isabella said, sticking her tongue out at him.
Finn looked at Jennings, "Are we still going to duel?"

"You're so lame." Ashlee groaned.

"I used to when I had my bow . . " he said, remembering he gave it to Allen as a gift, "But I haven't in a while."

Abigail laid Ash down, frowning. She herself to had wondered why such a young child would have hair like that, "I don't know, here stay with him while I go get some medicine."

"Point taken."
Jennings chuckled. "Yeah, let's go."

"Better than spilling my guts to anyone who happens to pass by."

"We should go tomorrow morning. Just the two of us. It's been too long since I've gone, too, and we both could use a day off."

"OK!" Phil said brightly and perched on the edge of the bed. He stared at the new kid, his rabid curiosity getting the best of him. "You're not wrinkly like Mrs. Page. You're weird, new kid."

"But even though you're a stupid boy, I love you." she said, kissing him on the cheek.
Finn grinned wickedly and looked over at Israel, "Will you referee the duel?"

"But you'll be with me, c'mon." Ashlee urged.

Alaric perked up at that, "Sure, I'd like that."

Ash shifted a bit and groaned, opening his green eyes. He looked around, disoriented, unable to recall how he got here.

Israel kissed Stella quickly on the cheek before leaning his head back to look at them. "Of course I will! Otherwise you two will hack each other to pieces."

"Ashlee," he moaned. "I'll do something dumb!"

He smiled and nodded once. "Great. It'll be good for us. My kids want me to bond with you more, after all. And I'm afraid if I don't, they'll never shut up about it," he joked with a grin.

Phil gasped excitedly. "Hi!" he greeted cheerfully. "Who are you? Do you speak English? I don't know any other language, so you better."

Finn laughed, "He won't even get to hit me." he took his sword from Brooke and stood across from Jennings, "Ready?"

"But that's the fun of it!" She laughed, "We can be idiots like when we were children."

"That sounds like kids alright." Alaric chuckled, "I'll make sure to get all my work done by then."

Ash groaned, unable to process all the questions, "W-where am I?" he asked quietly, sitting up and pushed his white hair back.

"Oh-ho! Over-confidence!" Jennings taunted, standing opposite of him. "It'll be the death of you."

"Fine. Fine. As long as we're not around a lot of people. That could get messy."

"Take it easy. No rush or pressure. Whatever you get done, you get done. Spend some time with your wife and friends today. I know it's a sad day."

"You're in an orphanage! Miss Abigail found you!"

Isabella walked into town. It was about time to check on the kids in her orphanage. Make sure they were getting enough food and medical attention.

"It shall not be! I'm the strongest." he said, lunging at him.

"You'll either start fighting them all or just hug them all to death." Ashlee chuckled, bringing him to the drinking area the soldiers went to off duty, which was relatively empty at the moment.

"Yeah . . " Alaric said sadly, looking down at the papers, "Thank you again, for help finding a cure for that plague."

Ash blinked a few times before remembering, "Ah . . I was trying to get here but passed out." he said quietly, pitifully.

Jennings blocked the blow and circled around him. "But I'm faster."

"Probably a combination of both," he admitted, chuckling.

"Of course. Couldn't let you all suffer. I'm sorry we couldn't find it fast enough."

"Oh! I'm so sorry! Well, you're safe now. Miss Abigail is getting you some medicine. I'll find you some bread or something!" He clambered down off the bed and ran for the kitchen. "Oh! Miss Isabella! Hi! I need to get bread."
She laughed and handed him half a loaf. "There you go."
"Thank you!" He sprinted out of the kitchen again and back to the new kid. "Here you go!"

Finn laughed, slashing at his knees.

Ashlee laughed, sitting down and signaled for the bartender to give them each a shot.

"It's fine, I guess it was to be." he said quietly, "You have a nice night."

"Thanks." Ash smiled, "What's your name?" he asked, nibbling on the piece of bread.
Abigail walked through the hall with a few pills, she saw Isabella and walked towards her, "Miss, there's a new boy in the infirmary."

Jennings danced backwards and stabbed at his shoulder.

Colton nodded to the man who filled up his glass. "Well, here goes. I blame you for whatever happens," he said to Ashlee before downing the contents.

Adonis nodded in understanding. "Take it easy," he said quietly before backing out.

"Phil! What's your name?"
"Really? I should introduce myself. But, before I do, is there anything you need? Food? Medical supplies? Clothes? Toys?"

Finn grunted, stumbling back before jabbing at his chest.

"It will be fun." Ashlee assured, taking a long sip before refilling the shot glass, "So, are you ever going to propose to Claudia?"

Alaric released a heavy sigh, running a hand through his hair.

"My name . . " Ash hesitated before saying, "I'm Warren."
"Medical supplies and toys, the children are starting to break them all." Abigail informed before heading down back to Phil and Ash.

Jennings caught the blow along the edge of his sword, but it stabbed his shoulder instead. He staggered backwards a step.

"Eventually. I'm waiting for the right moment."

"Warren? I've never met a Warren before."
Isabella nodded. "I'll get those to you by morning. Now, who's this new kid?"

Finn grinned, running forward and attempted to tackle Jennings to the ground.

"It has been nine years." Ashlee pointed, handing him another shot glass.

Ash just blinked at him, he had never been around kids his own age, not that he could remember.
"He's in the infirmary." she said, bringing him inside, finding him awake, his white hair falling into his eyes.

Jennings caught his balance and threw himself to the side. He rolled back onto his feet and lunged at Finn's back.

"Don't remind me. I just feel like we're standing on the brink of something and it's just not the right time yet."

Isabella smiled at him. "Hello! I see Phil is keeping you company."

Finn started to get up but was pushed back onto the ground with a yelp of pain before rolling back up to his feet.

"Ask her, maybe she's waiting for you." Ashlee said, taking another shot.

Ash blinked for a moment, recognizing her as the queen and perked up smiling brightly, "Yes, he's been really good to me." he said sweetly.

Jennings laughed and jumped to his feet. "You sounded like a puppy."

"Maybe. We haven't talked about it much, to be honest."

"Good! And what's your name?"

Finn reddened at that, his blue eyes narrowing as he lunged forward, slashing at his knees once again, trying to knock him down.

"Fair enough." she said, glancing over as a man with dark brown hair walked in wearing a guards suit though she didn't recognized him. He sat a few seats away from the two, looking at them curiously. Ashlee looked away, feeling the effects of the drink.

"Warren." he explained cheerfully, "I hope I'm not a lot of trouble." he looked hesitant, "I just woke up here after wandering the streets.

Mercy stretched tiredly as the carriage finally rolled to a stop.
"Home sweet home." she said, looking across at Lily
"Finally, that was way too long of a trip." Lily said, opening the door and jumping out
"It's good to be back." Mercy agreed, climbing out after her daughter.

Ben looked out the window of the study and brightened up as he saw Mercy and Lily return. He stood up from the chair and headed outside, beaming, "Hello, my two favorite girls."

"Hi dad." Lily said with a grin
"Aw I feel so special." Mercy chuckled, smiling warmly at him.

"You should." he smiled and hugged Lily, "Did you have fun with your mother?"

"Yeah it was fun. You should come with us next time!" Lily said, returning the hug.

"I wish I could have, had a lot I had to handle here." he said, sounding tired, "I had to be here to help your Aunt Gen dealing with the loss of Ash . . ." he sighed, unable to believe it has been nine years since he had passed.

"Oh.." Lily said, the exuberance falling out of her voice
"It still doesn't seem like that long ago." Mercy said sadly, slipping her arm around him.
