"Good God," he breathed. "This is . . . inhuman." He inspected a 13-year-old girl. "They need help right now." He turned on the balls of his feet, looking up at Catherine. "I know your heart is rather . . . shriveled, but can we get them help?"

George chuckled darkly. "I know the feeling. It'll feel a lot better in a moment, I promise."

"Insulting me isn't the best way to get favors, but we'll send guards here to see to them." she vowed, "Now you get a glimpse on why we have to keep rebels down, to keep the peace." she said before heading up the stairs.

Gen was silent for a moment before asking, "Why are you here, George? I thought you had gotten out of this life."

"We were never like that. We saved people back then. At least, I think we did," he murmured. He smirked at her. "I didn't realize it was an insult. I thought everyone knew that."

"I thought so, too. Victoria showed up and threatened to kill my boy if I didn't tell her very specific details of Levi's upbringing. I don't know why she needs them. It's not blackmailing information."

"Cute," she sneered, leading him back to the estate. She crossed her arms, knowing her uncle and Victoria would want to speak to the boy.

"Weird," Gen said, narrowing her eyes, "She's plotting something, it's unsettling." she muttered.

Alexander walked back to the estate, "Victoria, were you successful in getting your son back?" he called.

"I know. I'm ado-o-o-o-orable," he crooned, following after her, hands in his pockets.

"I wish I knew what," George murmured.

"I was. I knew he'd come running when he found out that we had Gen. Worked like a charm. He's still the star-crossed puppy he used to be."

"It'll be the death of him," Alexander smirked, amused, "We'll have a pleasant chat with him when he gets back."

Catherine led him to the doors of the house, "I'll go notify the guards to go rescue the hostages, you go have a talk with Alexander and your mother."

"You should try and get out of here, George. Your son is probably looking for you." she smiled sadly.

Levi headed into the mansion. "I'm back. None survived."
Victoria raised her eyebrows. "You've improved since we saw you last."
"Well, I had a good teacher."
"You saved a lot of lives doing what you just did."
"Catherine showed me. Are all of the rebels doing that?"

"He's not. He's staying with a friend this weekend, but no doubt Victoria knows that and where he is. I can't risk it. He's already lost one father."

"Yes," Alexander responded, walking towards him, "They'll go to harming others to get their point across from me." he looked pained, though it was all an act, but a convincing one at that, "It pains me, that they'd go as far as threatening innocents, that's why we have to keep order and rid of them."

"At least he's safe." Gen breathed in relief.

"Not all of them are like that, surely," Levi said, watching Alexander's face carefully.

"Thank God for that." He finished tending to her injuries. "Try not to move too much."

"They are," Alexander said grimly, "They will forever put their wants before the welfare of the innocent citizens living in Avon."

"I'll try not to." she smiled slightly, "If you see Levi, can you ask him to come up here?"

"But Gen? Isabella? They're not doing that. I would know," he murmured, raking a hand through his hair.

"I will. I promise."

"You've only known Isabella for a year, whose to say she hasn't used that sort of technique once, and you don't remember your past at the Brotherhood, it is very likely it had been done at least once. The truth is, rebels will do whatever it takes, they will always put their own survival before others. That's why we must stop them."

"Thank you, George." Gen said with a small smile.

"No, I know them. They wouldn't let that happen. Especially not Gen. If it did happen, it happened without her knowing," he insisted.

"Of course, my dear." He rubbed her shoulder gently. "Try to relax."

"She still played a part in it though," Alexander sighed, "Just admit it, rebels are corrupt people, and today you did a good deed by ending their lives and rescuing innocent people, you should be proud of yourself."

"I'll try." she smiled tiredly.

"I'm glad I saved their lives, but," he shook his head. "Never mind. Need anything else from me?"

"No," Alexander said with a small smile, "That is all, for now. You're free to wander around the estate if you'd like."

Levi nodded. He glanced between Victoria and Alexander. "I'll do that then." He headed for the nearest set of stairs. He met George at the top.
"Gen's waiting for you."
"How is she?"
"Alive. She'll heal. Go see her." He smiled and headed downstairs.
Levi pulled up a chair next to Gen. "Hey," he greeted, smiling.

Gen looked over at him and smiled, "Hey," she said quietly. She hesitated for a moment, looking a bit distressed, "How'd your . . . job go?" she asked, struggling to word it.

Alexander looked over at Victoria and smirked, "That'll give him something to think about for a while."

"I succeeded, if that says anything." He shook his head, looking down at his hands. "They had hostages, Gen. They were barely alive. Those rebels were cruel. This time, it was worth it."

Gen looked away, she knew that some groups would go far enough to do such acts, but she had never heard of one, "That's terrible." she said quietly.

Mags wrote:"Kids, so eager," Alaric joked.
"Whatever," Allen rolled his eyes, crossing his arms.

Mercy chuckled and kept walking, eager to be back.

"Here we are," Alaric announced as they reached the base.
"Woah," Mimi said in awe, her eyes wide, "This is fantastic!" she gushed.

"It really is in the trees!" Jack exclaimed with delight
"Yeah." Mercy said grinning. "Come on." she said as she started up a ladder.

Allen just stared at it, "Lost for words?" Alaric teased, ruffling his hair before heading up Hr ladder.

Jack followed Mercy up and she waited for him at the top.
"Home sweet home." she said
