"Will you let me help you take away you're bad thoughts." Lucic murmured, taking measurements of his head.
Alice figure appeared above Kit and wiped away a tear from Kit's cheek, "Be strong." she whispered kindly.

Kit panted hard through his teeth. "Don't. Touch. Me," he growled at Lucic.

Lucic chuckled, "Now, now, Kit, do try to relax." he murmured, "I'm going to get rid of the bad thoughts."
The static grew and the room started to twist and turn, bringing on a new scenery, one outside of the operating room and to a woods, where the trees shifted from being green, to red and yellow, to wilting away, as if all the seasons were happening at once. "You're safe now." Alice's voice whispered.

Kit continued to pant. His head ached as the two different realities fought for control. He jerked once against the bonds before lying still. He gritted his teeth and groaned occasionally, but the curiosity got the better of him. "What's going on?" he asked Alice.

Lucic smiled, continuing to take measurements, "Good, relax." he murmured, "You poor, sick boy."
Alice smiled sadly, "You're stuck in a demon's trap. Kit, you have to escape." she murmured but then smiled, "Or are you going crazy?"

Kit couldn't think through the pounding in his head. His vision flashed between Lucic and Alice. It drove him mad. He thrashed once more, but the bonds held.

Alice held Kit's face in her hands and smiled kindly, "Kit, you're going crazy. Remember what the Cat told Alice? 'We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.' You're finally breaking. It's okay though, I'll take care of you." she promised kindly.
Lucic held onto Kit's wrist, checking his pulse.

Kit went to touch her hand but realized he still couldn't move. "It's this place," he whispered.

"Are you sure it isn't just you?" She asked kindly as she touched his hand, gently, "You think you're dead."

Memories and images returned to the forefront of his mind. "I am dead," he said quietly.

"In the inside, maybe. " she whispered, "Let me help you."
"Now Kit, I'm going to put you into a nice rest." Lucic murmured as he put a mask on his face and reached for the knob for the noxious gas

Kit closed his eyes, tuning out both realities the best he could. And he was feeling sleepy anyway. Sleep would deliver him.

"You cant escape this, Kit." She murmured and gently put her lips against his, "Insanity has no escape route. "
"Breath in nice and easy. " he muttered

Kit turned his head away and focused on the problem he was working on back in his room. The logical reasoning behind the math focused his mind momentarily before the gas blurred it again.

The sound of laughter filled Kit's mind as Alice wore a Cheshire cat smile, "Join the madness, Kit." She tempted, "Let free the chains of sanity. We're all mad here." She attempted to take his hand and pull him in as the music begun to play.

Kit yanked his hand back. "Leave me alone," he rasped.

"You're bringing this on yourself." She murmured, dancing around him, "Let me keep you protected in insanity. Let me in."
Lucic ran the small blade against Kit's head, beginning the procedure as Alice walked in, "What on Earth are you doing?" She breathed

"No," he insisted, backing away.

"What's holding you back?" She asked, leaning closer, "With it I can lead you out of this nightmare."
Alice ran forward to Kit and glared at Lucic, "Out she hissed as she bandaged the cut on his forehead. Lucic sneered but stalked away

"At what cost though?" he asked slowly.

"You'll be like this until you free yourself from the demon. Use it to let me guide you home." She offered him her hand once again.
"Kit! " Alice called in his face and shook him, "You must wake up!"

The shaking cleared his mind a little. He could hear the two Alices in his head fighting for attention. Kit stepped back from the one in his head. "Something's not right."

"Kit, don't be a fool! I'm your only chance of escaping, not her. She's a pawn in the demon's game! He wants you to think you're insane, that's the key for escaping! Don't fight it!" She offered him her hand one last time.
"He must've drugged you." She sighed and laid his head on her lap, moving back his sweaty bangs

Kit paused, watching the Alice in his head. "But you don't act like Alice. How do I know this demon isn't using you instead?"

"Because, you're going crazy, and I'm in your head, so I'm crazy." Alice laughed, "Last chance, going once . . going twice . . "
