Dynasty RP

Rai watched them tie colorful paper lanterns on a line crisscrossing over the street. "Those'll be amazing at night," she observed, her eyes bright and excited.

"Yeah." Hikaru nodded in agreement, glancing around, "I think this one will be even better then the last."

"It looks beautiful so far."

Taemin laughed and panted into the darkness after they finished. He pushed back his bangs. "You weren't kidding," he remarked, still breathless.

"Yeah, they do a great job with it." he smiled, looking around. He rested his hand on the hilt of his sword out of habit.

"I'm glad I impressed." Mitsuki winked, lighting the candle once again.

She noticed the motion. "Someone threatening you?"

"Impressed? You were brilliant, dear." He pulled the bright, silky sheets up around them and folded his arms behind his head.

"Huh?" he asked, confused for a moment before smiling slightly, "No, it's just something I do out of habit, sorry. My dad taught me always to be on guard."

"You're such a flatterer." She smiled humbly. She discreetly hid the pouch of money she took from Taemin and hid it underneath her pillow.

"Makes sense." She dodged a troupe of oncoming workers bearing banners to hang on the buildings.

He traced patterns onto her bare skin, his fingers barely skimming the surface.

"Do you get a lot of trouble back at your court?" he asked curiously as he moved out of the way.

"So, anything else you want or . . ?" she asked, twirling a strand of his hair on her finger.

"Among citizens, not really. When it comes to the prince, yes. He tends to start up fights in the streets and bars and such. Not much crime otherwise though. What about in yours?"

"From you, no. I'm just tired," he said, suddenly sounding weary. "And this bed is very comfortable."

"He sounds like a handful." Hikaru commented, "My court seems to be under control, with minor issues here and there. I hear that the South Court has it rough though."

"Would you like me to leave you?" she asked, sitting up.

"The South Court has always had crime problems. Comes with having too many passionate people."

"No!" He flashed a smile. "No. Company is nice," he amended, calmer this time. His finger trailed down her spine.

"Indeed." he nodded, "There is one in particular apparently that has been making a name for herself."

Mitsuki smiled, laying back down, "Alright then." she murmured, "You rest, I'll be here. But remember, I pay by the hour." she winked.

"Really? Haven't heard that. What's her name?"

"I've got plenty of money," he assured, closing his eyes.

"No one knows her name for sure, but they call her Rogue. She apparently has been able to avoid getting caught by guards for five years." He explained.

"Good." she said, pleased, running a hand over his chest and looked at him curiously.

"Wow. Impressive, and now I'm curious," she admitted with a cynical smile.

He opened one eye. "That's a strange look in your eye. Do you have questions?"

"I wonder if the two of us would be able to stop her." Hikaru smirked.

"I'm just curious to why a prince would come to such a place." Mitsuki admitted.

"Depends. Are we more competent than the Southern soldiers?"

He chuckled. "You don't think the royal families are so innocent, do you? Most of the princes have their courtesans brought to the palace. But, I hate being in or around the palace, so I come to the girls instead." It wasn't the whole truth, of course, but she didn't need to hear about his problems.

"I'd like to think so." he said with a cheeky smile.

"I see." Mitsuki said, "I bet there's more than that but, I'm only here to make you happy."

"You and me both then. They're not the best army in the four courts."

"There is, but you've got problems of your own, no doubt. I don't need to unload mine to you." He offered a smile. It wasn't a charming or self-absorbed smile, but a caring one. There was something about her. Something more that went beyond her pretty face and body.

"Not at all. I liked like to say that West Court is the best." he said with a slight smirk.

"I suppose you're right," Was all she said, her hands traveling to each shoulder, "Just rest, my dear."

"I'd be inclined to agree." She watched men and women in bright, sparkling outfits walk in front a line of cages bearing exotic animals.

He closed his eyes and sighed happily.

"Hopefully we'll be able to enjoy ourselves instead of working. "

Mitsuki traced patterns on his cheek idly

"I really hope so. This'll be too amazing to miss."

The light, continuous motion on his face was strangely soothing. He slipped in and out of sleep, rest only coming in minutes at a time.

"Just depends if fights break out, but that could be fun to deal with too." He admitted with a mischievous smile.

Mitsuki started to lightly sing a small lullaby to Taemin, trying to help him sleep. For some reason, she felt like being kind to him, he was different then her other costumers.

"Fights are always entertaining. Especially if they're drunk."

Mitsuki's singing lulled him into a deep sleep - probably the best one he had experienced in a long time.
