Faith's Edge RP

Jade saw Chloe and Fang walking up toward the porch.
"So this is your friend?" Jade asked her as they approached

"Yep, I am." Fang answered for her, "I hear you're Jade, my names Fang." he said, offering her his hand to shake. His intense green eyes looking her over, he felt something unsettling about her through his instincts.

"Nice to meet you Fang, I'm Jade." she said, shaking his hand. She met his green eyes with her own, feeling the same threat of danger she had when she'd met Chloe, but she brushed it aside this time.

Fang kept himself on guard and stuck his hands in his black pants, "So, I've never seen you around town, where are you from?"

"Out of town." Jade answered vaguely "I've been here before, just not very regularly."

"I see," Fang said, a bit skeptical.
"Well, let's get inside. I'll make dinner." Chloe smiled, heading towards the door.

"Sounds delicious." Jade said, grabbing her bag and standing up.

Fang nodded once and headed inside after Chloe. He sat down on the couch, staring up at the ceiling.
"I'll make some pasta." Chloe announced "You two play nice, alright?" she teased, disappearing into the kitchen.

"I'll try." Jade said with a a half grin as Chloe vanished into the kitchen. She slid her bag up against the couch and then sat down in a chair, feeling a little awkward.

"So," Fang said idly, "Do you know any magic?"

"Yes" Jade replied, choosing not to elaborate unless he asked. "I'm assuming you do?" she asked

"Yep," he smirked. He closed his eyes and changed his appearance to match Chloe's.

"That's cool...yet creepy." Jade said with a half-grin.

Fang smirked before his appearance changed back into his normal one, "It's hard to copy humans, they're complicated and I can't keep their forms for long, so I mostly change into creatures." he explained, "They're usually less complex."

"Is that where your nickname comes from?" Jade asked

"It's not my nickname, it is my name." Fang replied, "Chloe gave me the name."

"Oh, okay." Jade said, realizing she was probably being rude and should stop asking questions.

Fang stretched fluidly, "But enough about me, tell me about yourself."

"Well, I can do this." Jade said with a shrug, flicking over her palm that now cupped a small tongue of fire.

"Fire, nice." Fang said with a smirk, "We've got a few who can use such magic in our little group, but you can probably best them."

"I've had plenty of practice." Jade said, with only the slightest hint of bitterness. She flipped her hand back over and the flame disappeared.

Fang nodded and got up to his feet, "Are you going to join Faith's Edge at all, or are you going to move on to somewhere else after this?"

"I honestly don't know." Jade said "I didn't have much of a plan when I came here."

"Fair enough," Fang shrugged and glanced over near the kitchen, "Chloe is dinner almost ready yet?" he called.
"Be patient." Chloe yelled back at him.

"Tired of me already?" Jade joked, raising an eyebrow with a half smirk.
