Outcasts RP

Mercy reached the hotel and led the doctor inside. She walked up to the man at the front and asked him which room Alaric and Gen had gone in. He told her and she and the doctor walked up the steps and entered the room.
"How is she?" Mercy asked, hurrying over to Alaric.

"Not good, she's losing a lot of blood." he sighed, running a hand through his hair. He looked over at the doctor, "Please tell me you can help her."

The doctor walked over and carefully examined the wound.
"I can clean it up and prevent any more blood loss at least." he said, opening his bag and removing some clean clothe, scissors and and some stitching supplies.

"Thank God." Alaric breathed, "Thank you, do you want us to give you some space to do your doctor . . . stuff?"

"It would be easier if you stepped outside for just a moment." he said, settling down and getting to work. Mercy looked at Gen with concern, glanced at Alaric, the stepped back out the door.

Alaric nodded, "Of course." he took one last glance at Gen before following Mercy out. "Well, at least for once, something may turn out right."

"Don't jinx it." Mercy said with a sigh, leaning against the wall.

"Today was a wild day, huh?" Alaric sighed, "I figured we'd find Sebastian, threaten him that we're coming after him then run before his guards came. Though, nothing ever goes as plan, huh?" he smirked faintly.

"I don't know why we ever even bother making plans. They always get shot straight to hell anyways." Mercy said with bitter amusement.

"Yeah." he said then sighed, "Lacie's going to have my head after this." he groaned, "Though, I do realize I deserve it."

Mercy frowned "She'll probably chew out all of us." she said. She'd never felt very comfortable with Lacie.

"She probably will. She's too dedicated sometimes. Was the leader of the Brotherhood like her?" he asked out of curiousity

"No, he had his moments of...intense dedication I guess you could say, but he wasn't Lacie." Mercy said with a slight smile.

"Sounds like more fun." he said then sighed, glancing at her, "I'm really sorry about what happened to your group it was a shame."

"Yeah it was." Mercy said her voice tinged with sadness. She didn't really want to think about Ben or Levi or anyone else, but especially Ben. That was her fault.

He looked at her then glanced away, "Ah, sorry, probably not the best thing to bring up." he said while running a hand through his hair.

"It's okay I just...try not to dwell on it." Mercy replied "It wouldn't be conducive to getting anything done."

"Understandable, just know I'm here if you need me." he offered kindly.

"Thanks." Mercy responded with a small smile, slightly surprised.

"Not a problem." he smiled then glanced over at the door, "how much longer do you think it will take?"

"I'd think he'd be about done." Mercy said, looking at the door. Almost as soon as she'd said this, the door swung open and the doctor came out.
"She's all patched up and I think she's going to be alright. She lost a lot of blood though. How in the world did she get shot?" he asked

"Some gang in Amacitia stole the amulet her mother had given her before she died. She went after them and they shot her. We had to run out of Amacitia though, in fear of them finding her again, so this was the closest place." Alaric lied smoothly, "Thank you again for helping us." he smiled.

"Always a pleasure to help someone, that's why I decided to be a doctor." the man chuckled

"Do you want any money for what you did?" he asked, handing over a good sum of money over to the man.

"That's a generous amount." the doctor replied "Thank you."
"Thank you, for helping us." Mercy replied
"Well, I should be getting back. If you need anything else." he said, waving his hand as he walked back downstairs.
