Outcasts RP

Lily sat quietly in the carriage, scrunching herself up to avoid being noticed. Suddenly this didn't seem like it had been a good idea after all, her mom was going to kill her.

"If by fun you mean nearly dying by a half-dozen things, then yeah, best fun you've ever had!"

Finn looked down at his hands, "I'm sorry, Mom." he said sweetly and innocently.

She sighed, rubbing her forehead. "You just scared me is all."

"We won't do it again." he promised.

Gen exited the carriage as she reached the house, carrying Ash to his room, her hands shaking.

"Good. You're still grounded. Or something."

Levi watched her pass, half hidden where he stood.

Lily slipped out of the carriage door, still trying to avoid notice. She knew she was in for it when her mom got back, but she still didn't want to get yelled at know.

"What?!" He gaped, devastated, "I said I was sorry!"

Gen walked up to his room, laying him on the bed. She held onto his hand, watching as he whimpered, sweat dripping down his face.

Ben took Mercy's hand, helping her out of the carriage, "Lunch was good, wasn't it?" he smiled, the estate right behind him.

"Delicious." Mercy smiled, climbing down with his help

"Doesn't change what you did. No going outside and no Jennings for three days."

Israel carried Jennings to his room. Israel's room was all purples, yellows, and reds. He settled down on the plush bed and lied Jennings down. "Rest. I'll talk to your mom."
The boy didn't reply.

"I'm glad you liked it." he said, kissing her on the forehead, "Let's go find Lily."

"But we live in the same house!" Finn stared, "How can I avoid him?!"

Gen's eyes watered, hugging onto Ash, "Stay strong, we'll find the cure." she said quietly, her voice breaking.

"Yes, let's." Mercy smiled, twining her fingers through his.

"We'll figure something out," she said. "Straight to your room. Go."

Israel went to the boys' room and knocked gently.

Ben smiled at her, "I wonder where she is."

"But mooooom." he complained, "Isn't Lena in trouble too?"

Gen looked up, "Come in." she said quietly.

"Yes, she is. But that's not your concern, is it?"
Lena scowled, hoping if she was silent, they'd forget about her.

Israel slipped inside. "Can I talk to you?"

"Let's check inside first." Mercy suggested "I don't see any of the other kids running around."

"This isn't fair!" he protested.

Gen nodded, "Of course." she said, her eyes going back to Ash.

"Alright," Ben nodded, becoming a bit concerned, they usually were running around and playing.

"Go!" she ordered sternly, jabbing her finger in the direction of his room.

"He's stronger than you give him credit for. He's not a weak, timid little boy. Not really. He'll get through this. We don't even know for sure he's sick with the plague yet. The air in the city is thick and toxic anyway. But, it won't help him having his mother crying over him the whole time and his brother babying him. He'll think he's weak and without hope of ever healing, and that'll kill him faster than what he has. You have to be optimistic. Help him, yes. But don't baby him. Does that make sense?" He spoke as gently and kindly as ever.

Mercy frowned "Which, come to think of it is odd." she said, going through the door.

"Fine." Finn muttered, trudging towards his room.
"Drop the attitude!" Alaric called, "You go too, Missy."

Gen nodded, wiping a tear from her eyes. "I know, it's just . . . I don't want to lose my son." she said, tears starting to flow again.

"Now I'm starting to get concerned." he frowned, "Lily!" he called.

"Yes, Dad," she muttered, shuffling off.

"I know. I know." He hugged Gen and sighed. "And you won't. Let him rest. We'll know more in an hour or so."

Alaric sighed heavily, shaking his head, "What are we going to do with them?"

"Right," Gen said, calming down, "I should go check on Jennings though." she said quietly, feeling terrible.

"I don't know," she sighed.

"Yes, you do. He didn't speak the whole way home or since. He's in my room."

"I just hope Ash is okay." Alaric said, feeling guilty, "I should've kept a better eye on them."

"Thank you, Israel." she smiled, kissing him on the cheek before walking into Israel's room and looked at Jennings in the bed. She moved to his side and kissed him on the forehead, "Hey." she said quietly.

"Why in the world are you blaming yourself? Just because you're king doesn't mean you're responsible for everyone."

Israel watched her go before leaving to find Levi.

Jennings opened his red, swollen eyes. "I thought you were mad at me," he mumbled.
