Faith's Edge RP

"We're leaving, Colin," Neko said, the lock to his cell opening.

He nodded, walking out and stopping alongside him.

"Ready to go back home?" Neko asked.

Chloe ran down the hall, stopping as she found the missing Faith's Edge members in a cell. "Balthasar!"
He looked up with a tired smile, "I'm glad you two are okay."
"We're getting you out of here," Fang said, his arms turning into bigger, stronger ones of a gorilla and bent the bars open.

"As I'll ever be. Let's just do this," he said with new resolve.

"Feeling brave now?" Neko smirked.

He mirrored the smirk. "Do I have any other choice?"

"I suppose not, but putting a brave face won't make a difference, you know that right?"

"I know, but it makes me feel better."

"Whatever floats your boat." he smirked, leading him up the stairs, "We'll travel by portal."

Chloe and Fang managed to get the group out of Death's Bloom, with minor fighting. "We have to hurry back," Chloe said.
"I'm going to look for Devon, you go ahead." Fang ordered.
Chloe nodded, leading the group back home.

Colin matched his pace, walking alongside him. He shoved his hands in his pockets, knowing he tried to run, he wouldn't get far.

"Where are they?" Devon muttered to himself, debating whether to go back inside or not.

"You really must care about that boy a lot," Neko said, almost sounding jealous.

"Devon?" Fang called, looking around for the boy.

"He's all I have," Colin murmured, remorse and guilt lacing his voice. "Now," he added in a whisper.

"Fang? Over here." He emerged from his hiding place. "I take it Colin went through with his plan."

Neko didn't respond, he just led him up towards the highest tower, where a portal to their old country was waiting for them.

Fang's face fell as he walked over, "What plan?"

Colin remained in stride with him, matching him step for step. Back when they were running, Colin was much smaller. Two of his steps equaled one of his. Not anymore, it seemed. He could look Neko in the eye now.

Devon faltered. "Well. Alright. Colin's going home. It seems he and Neko come from the same country. They don't sound too friendly. Do you know anything about that?"

Neko stopped at the tower, where the dark portal was, "Let's return home, back to the good days."

Fang's heart sank, "No, I didn't know they knew each other," he said quietly, "We can't let him go back there, they'll kill him."

"I don't think they'll be quite the same, but lead the way."

"We have to follow them then. Rescue him."

"You go in first," Neko said, "Like I'd walk in just so you can escape while I'm back home."

"I have to go, I have to do this alone," Fang said.

"Honestly, I wasn't thinking of that. You know I keep my word." He walked in through the portal, exhaling as he reached the other side.

Devon nodded. "Do what you have to."

Neko sighed, shaking his head as he followed him through. They appeared near the coast, where the sun was high in the sky and the sand was under their feet, "Let's get going."

"Go after Chloe, I'll come back whenever I can, with Colin," Fang said, running back into the building.

Colin breathed in the sea air, taking in some small comfort from it. He walked alongside Neko. "You ever miss the ocean?" he asked, glancing at his old friend.

Devon nodded and veered off to the left to look for Chloe and Jade.

He nodded, "Sometimes. I miss the air most of all."

Fang ran back inside, ending anyone who got in his way.

Chloe waited a few yards away, waiting for Fang and Devon.

"I agree. It's the one part of home I miss." He smiled sadly. He shook his head, snapping himself out of his nostalgic state.

Demas spotted Fang sprinting through the halls and followed on his heels. He lunged, tackling his brother to the ground. "Will you never learn, little brother?"

Devon stopped a couple feet away. "Fang's going after Colin."

"I'll bring you to the beach if they decide to kill you, so you'll at least die somewhere enjoyable." he said quietly.

Fang growled, "Not now," he snapped, trying to kick him off.

"You let me go alone?" Chloe demanded.

"Well, that sounded almost like your old self," Colin attempted at a joke, smirking over at him.

Demas kept a grip on him. "Not letting you go, brother!"

"Do you want to try and keep Fang back where Colin is concerned? I've known them for a day, and even I know that they'll die for each other. I figured it was better for everyone to just let him go."

"I guess it did," he said, looking up at the sun.

"I swear, Demas. I'll kill you if you get in my way." Fang roared, his hands turning into claws and tried to dig into his grip.

Chloe sighed, "You're right, it's just I promised Colin I'd keep Fang safe."
