Jade followed him, sliding under the water once it was deep enough. She stayed under until she couldn't hold her breathe any longer, than popped up for a breathe, treading water.

Fang broke through the surface a few moments after her and caught his breath, grinning at her through wet strands of hair that were in his face.

Balthasar was able to dodge most of his attacks expect for one, his claw cutting his cheek. He narrowed his eyes and sent a shard of light towards Demas's stomach.

"Isn't it?" he asked, getting to his feet. "There are two tunnels. That one leads to the shafts that lead to the surface, but I don't know where the other leads to. Wanna do a little exploring?"

Demas skidded on the balls of his feet before smashing into a wall. He pushed off, relentless in his attacks.

"Sure," Chloe said with a large smile and a nod, "Sounds like fun!"

Balthasar continued to hurls shards at the boy, but his attacks became more hesitant as he looked at Demas's face, which was faintly familiar to Fang which threw him off.

"Fantastic. Come on." He waved his arm and led the way into the cave.

Demas noted the hesitation and took advantage, moving faster and stronger than before. He slashed at Balthasar's chest and stomach.

Chloe followed after him, her curiosity growing the closer they got.

Drops of blood made their way down Balthasar's lips as the hit connected and he fell to his knees.
"Nicely done, Demas." Neko smirked.

It grew colder and colder the farther they went. "I think we're going down," he muttered, keeping one hand on the wall.

Demas's hands returned to normal. "Thank you. What do we do with him now?"

Chloe wrapped her arms around herself and shivered, "Yeah, I guess so." she said looking around.

"We'll take him with us." Neko said, "With the other captive."

The tunnel led to a massive cave filled with stalagmites and stalactites. Multicolored crystals crusted sections of the walls and floor. "Wow. This is very cool."

"Sounds good." He pulled Balthasar to his feet, ready to counteract any blow he might throw.

Chloe looked around, beaming at the crystal, "This is beyond cool!" she said, running her hands against the surface of the crystals.

Balthasar sneered, forming a piece of light in his hand and hurled it at Neko who dodged it with ease. He smirked, "Nice try old man. Demas, knock him out."

Demas pulled a dagger and slammed the hilt against his head.

"I kinda want to take some of these crystals home," Chloe admitted, "They're just too awesome."

Before Balthasar was knocked out, he attempted to stab a shard of light into the arm Demas had the knife in.

The light seared Demas's arm. He hissed through his teeth and inspected the damage. It was just a surface burn, but it stung. He heaved Balthasar over his shoulder. "Ready to go?"
