"I see," Nik said, finishing up his meal.

"You were definatly hungry." Ava said, raising an eyebrow at his now empty plate.

"Well, I haven't really had a meal since we left Master Veera," he said, leaning back in his chair.

"Very very true." Ava said, finishing up her own plate. "That was delicious Mom, thanks." she said

"Thank you," Nik said to Ava's mom, inclining his head.

"You're welcome, no trouble at all." Ava's mother waved a hand

"Would you mind if I stayed here for the night?" he asked with a faint smile, "I feel like I'm about to pass out."

"Oh no not at all, you're welcome here." Mrs. Adalyn said with a smile
"I'll show you the extra room if you want." Ava said, yawning "I'm about ready for bed too."

"Alright, thanks." he said with a slight smile.

"Follow moi." Ava said, standing, pushing her chair and heading out the door.

Nik chuckled before following her up the stairs, putting his hands into his pockets.

Ava walked all the way up the stairs and turned right down the hallway, passing a few doors before stopping and opening one near the end.
"Here you go." she said, swinging the door open.

"Thanks, I think I'm going to sleep forever, bye." he said, trudging into the room.

"I'm right across the hall if you need anything. Goodnight." Ava said, going into her own room.

"Night," he said closing the door and collapsing onto the bed.

Ava slipped off her shoes and crawled into her bed, the familiarity was comforting and she was asleep within moments.

Nik stared up at the ceiling for a while, thinking about Myla and the boy in the first world they had visited. "What a mess." he sighed before closing his eyes.

Ava didn't sleep peacefully for very long as dreams of dark, monstrous shadows pervaded her subconscious.

Nik woke up in the morning, stretching in bed before rolling over to his side and looked out the window, "Wow, that was too fast." he muttered with a sigh, hitting his head on the pillow again.

Ava woke up as the sun broke through the large window in her room. She yawned and sat up, stretching away the lingering shadows of sleep.

Nik stayed in bed, staring at the white ceiling once again as his mind wandered back to Myla and the boy.

Ava climbed out of bed, deciding that if she didn't get up she might accidentally fall back asleep. She pulled back her hair back and put her shoes on, wondering if Nik was awake yet.

"I hope she's okay," Nik said quietly, growing more nervous. The girl in the black cloak appeared in his mind and he shivered.

Ava emerged from her room and went across the hall, knocking on Nik's door.

"Hmm?" Nik said, turning towards the door, "Come in."
