"There's a girl who's injured." he muttered,taking a step away from the door.

"Do you recognize her?" Mercy asked

"No," Alaric said, hesitant to enter and disrupt the group

"Not this one. It'll only make her more determined. We could threaten Levi if she doesn't cooperate, but that's counterproductive."

He smiled. "I know." He pressed his forehead against hers.

Isabella spotted Alaric and Mercy. "Come on in," she said, waving them over with a smile.
Israel got the girl some water. "Alright, what's your name?" he asked gently.

"I have a feeling this girl will be more trouble then she's worth," Alexander scowled, "If only we could Reprogram her . . ."

Gen held onto his hands, "I must admit, I'm frightened to be here, knowing I'm under Alexander's watch 24/7"

"Alright," Alaric said, walking into the room in front of Mercy.
"Gina." she said in a whisper.

Mercy followed him in, extremely curious.

"Do you want Levi's allegiance or not? If only there was someone else that we could threaten to make her cooperate . . ." her voice trailed off. "We could tell her that her precious brother is still alive. We could threaten him."

"You're telling me," Levi muttered. "It's terrifying."

"OK, Gina, where were these men?" Scott asked with equal gentleness. He knelt down in front of her, his gray eyes kind and open.

Alexander smirked, "This is why I love you," he said and kissed her on the forehead.

"I just want to leave." she said quietly.

"They're hiding out in a bar in town." she said, looking away.
Alaric stayed silent, narrowing his eyes at the two.

"Oh, that's the only reason?" she teased.

"I know. I do, too. I'm working out a plan. It'll be hard though."

Isabella glanced at Alaric and back to Scott and Gina. Something felt off about her and her story.
Scott nodded. "Alright. Just rest now. We'll take care of this for you."

"Of course not, being beautiful also helps." he smiled lightly.

"I know," Gen breathed, "Calming herself down, "I'm sorry."

Alaric looked over at Isabella, figuring she had her suspicions as well.
"Thank you." Gina smiled widely and hugged Scott.

She laughed. "Naturally."

Levi rubbed the back of her neck. He smiled. "I'll bring you something to eat."

Scott returned the hug. "Israel, make sure she rests."
"Of course."
Isabella came around next to Alaric. "You're not convinced either, I take it," she said quietly.

Alexander smirked and sat up, running a hand through his white blonde hair, "Well, I guess we should start getting up, we have a lot to do."

"Alright." she said with a small smile.

"Nope, her acting is quite terrible." he sighed, "But . . . if it is true we can't risk not helping her."

"We just need to be cautious about this." Mercy nodded

Victoria sighed. "If you insist."

Levi jogged down to the kitchen. He found a platter of biscuits and one of fruit on the counter. He loaded up a couple plates and headed back up.

Isabella nodded, agreeing with them both. "I'd like your help on this, if you don't mind. I need others there to keep an eye out for anything suspicious."

"I'm in." Mercy said with a nod.

"Unless you want to sit in bed all day," Alexander said, amused.

"Where are you going, Cousin?" Vincent asked, watching Levi go back upstairs with a plate full of food.

"Totally," Alaric nodded, "Anything to help."

"No, I'll get up." She got to her feet and stretched slowly. She wrapped her robe around her and padded over to Alexander. She kissed his cheek. "Thank you for staying."

Levi turned. "Gen's room. Breakfast," he said, holding up the plates.

Isabella smiled. "Thank you."

"What do you want us to do?" Mercy asked

"It was a pleasure." he said caressing her cheek before changing into his regular black suit.

"I see," Vincent smirked, "You lovebirds have fun now."

Victoria sat on the edge of the bed, watching him and smiling to herself for a minute before popping back to her feet. "I'm going to get a shower."

Levi smirked. "I'll try."

Isabella gestured for the two to follow her into the hall. "I think this might be a trap. Why would she run to the woods if she was attacked in town? She'd be better off finding safety in one of the surrounding buildings. I want you to look for any sign of a trap, if you do, we abandon the mission immediately."

"Alright, I'll be downstairs if you need me," he said, setting his shirt on the couch and kissed her gently on the lips.

Vincent smirked, watching as Levi went upstairs then headed over towards the parlor.

"Got it," Alaric nodded, "You can count on us."

Mercy nodded "Can do." she said

Victoria twined her arms around his neck. She pulled away and smiled. "If we start this again, we'll never get anything done." She kissed him one last time before slipping into the bathroom.

Levi set the plates down on the dresser. "Breakfast, my dear."

Isabella smiled and nodded once. "Thank you."

"You ready?" Mercy looked over at Alaric

Alexander eyed her as she left and put on his white collar shirt before putting on a vest over it and headed down the stairs.

"Thanks," Gen smiled, who was no sitting at the corner of her bed. She tried to get up but ended up falling back onto the bed.

"Anytime," he looked over at Mercy, "We should head out." he nodded.
