"Not for me!" Avan said, still laughing.

"I swear to God, I'll cut you." He warned.
Dawn resorted to ignoring them as she crossed her arms. She perked up as she heard the train come near.

"You already did that, mate," Avan said, winking.

"I'll make sure to do it deeper this time." he growled.
Dawn took a step back as the train halted to a stop and the doors opened, "C'mon guys." she said, "Stop fighting for a minute before the train leaves." she teased before entering the cart.

Avan laughed at his threats. He plopped down next to Dawn. "Oh Drake, for acting so tough, your reputation hangs on by a thread, doesn't it?"

"I really, reaaaally hate you right now." he grumbled, ignoring the question.
"You two are so cute." she teased, "You fight like brothers."

"Ha! Don't dishonor me in such a horrible manner," he teased. "That was just cruel."

"I'm sorry, I should treat the all mighty Avan better." She teased back, smiling at him as her blue bangs fell into her right eye. She felt the train start to move and bring them back to the Academy.

Avan chuckled, closing his eyes. He scratched at the dry blood. It was beginning to itch.

Dawn sat in content silence for a while, until a shriek came from the next cart.
Drake narrowed his eyes and got to his feet, "What the hell was that?" he muttered, curiously.

"I don't know. Maybe she saw a spider," Avan hoped, getting to his feet.

The door into their cart flew off from the hinges as shadowy looking creatures loomed inside.
"No such luck." Drake said, taking out his staff, and jumped into the aisle. He turned to the petrified passengers, "Get out of here!" he ordered.
Dawn stood their, eyes full of fear and shock, "Demons? No way." she whispered.

"That - that's not a spider," Avan stated, dumbstruck. He had never seen a demon. He only saw pictures in books. He jumped to his feet, skidding to a stop next to Drake.

"Well, this wasn't apart of the plan, but I dig it." he smirked, drawing his blade back as he jumped at one of the creatures.
What the hell? Dawn stood their, frozen in fear, [i]They were supposed to be sealed away over a hundred years ago.[/i she shook her head, snapping out of it and equipped on her claw gauntlets .

"How do you even kill demons?" Avan called, unwinding his rope dart from his belt loop.

"Maybe beating the crap out of 'em will work." Drake grinned wickedly, jumping at one of them and slashed, listening to it yell in pain.
Dawn blinked, remembering, "We need holy water." she looked at her water battle and grabbed it, "Distract them, I think I know how to create it!"

"O-o-okay. HOW DO YOU DISTRACT DEMONS?!" he yelled and grinned suddenly. "Demons! Fantastic! Oh, this is brilliant. I've never seen a demon before. Fascinating."

"Hey, pay attention to the fight, idiot." Drake said, being pushed back by the demon.
Dawn sat down in the seat and ripped off the cross necklace she had on, she began to chant over it, trying to recall the words in the book she had once read.

"Right, right." He lashed at one flying for Drake's back. The blow didn't seem to do anything but knock him into the wall.

"Dammit, they're annoying." Drake sighed, slashing at one.
Another demon neared Dawn. It picked her up by the throat. The water from her water battle spilled onto the floor and her cross fell out of her hands and hit against the train's floor.

"OI! Leave her alone!" Avan yelled, lashing at the demon holding Dawn.

The demon turned around, dropping Dawn who gasped for air before picking up the water bottle and cross before hoarsely continuing the chant. The demon snarled and pushed Avan back into the window of the train.

Avan groaned as his head snapped against the window. He struggled against the demon, doing whatever he could to loosen its grip. He was slowly running out of air. He closed his eyes and gritted his teeth, stabbing the creature with the knife at the end of the chain as much as he could.

The demon didn't budge, it continued to strangle Avan.
A few short minutes later, Dawn finished her chant and held the water bottle, "I hope this worked." she murmured and threw the water at the demon chocking Avan. It screamed out in pain and withered, falling to its knees and released Avan

Avan collapsed to his knees, gasping in mouthfuls of air. "Thanks," he croaked hoarsely. "That was good."
