"It's true, he could drive you insane just by complaining." he teased and lead them towards the center of town, "We'll just have to find somewhere interesting to eat."

"What do you mean by interesting?" Jade asked

"I dunno, something just . . . good to eat that's different." he shrugged, "Maybe some Italian."
"That's not really interesting, Fang." Chloe pointed out.

"Indian!" Colin said, snapping. "Indian's weird. And it tastes good."

"Indian?" Jade asked

"I've never had it before." Chloe said, thoughtfully.
"It better be good, Colin." Fang said, "And I better like it, or there'll be hell to pay."

"I'm sure hell's running low on money anyway," he said, waving his hand airily. "As long as you don't mind spicy food, you'll like it."

"I love spicy food." Jade said "I'm in."

"I'll give it a chance," Chloe said, though she sounded a bit skeptical.
"Spicy?" Fang perked up at that, "Alright, let's go then, lead the way."

"Great! Suivez-moi!" He led the way into town. "It's a bit of a hole-in-the-wall kind of place, but it's fantastic! You'll love it."

"We're all trusting you." Jade laughed

"You better be right," Fang smirked, his voice light and playful. He heard his stomach rumble and sigh, "So, hungry." he whined.

"Good choice." He shouldered open the door. "Raj! I brought friends?"
"You have friends?" he teased.
"Shocking, I know. But we're all hungry. Bring food."
"Right, right. Choose a table and I'll bring you some menus."

"Ah, so I guess you come here often." Fang said, sitting down at the table and leaned back in his chair. Chloe took a seat across from him and looked around the restaurant idly.

"Yeah, at least once a week." He reclined in his chair, curling and uncurling his fingers slowly. They were still numb.

"I'm insulted that you've never invited me." Fang smirked.
Chloe noticed Colin's movements and raised an eyebrow, "Are you sure you're okay?"

"I never knew you liked Indian. It's an . . . acquired taste." He looked at Chloe. "Yeah, I'm alright," he said with a smile. He didn't want to voice his worries. He knew Fang would feel guilty.

Fang looked at him, a bit concerned, "Are you sure it's alright? We can get someone else to patch it up," he said slowly.

Colin met his eyes for a second before looking down. "I - I don't think it's something that can be patched up that easily," he said quietly.

Fang looked at him, horrified, "Don't tell me . . ." he was lost for words. Panic, fear and self loathing went through him.

"Please don't worry. It might be nothing," Colin soothed, gripping his shoulder. "I'll wait a couple days, let it heal some more. Fang, it'll be alright."

Fang looked at him for a moment before nodding, leaning back in his chair, "Alright," he said quietly, still feeling guilty for the whole thing.

Colin sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Don't blame yourself. Please, Fang."
Raj came over with menus. "Sorry. Jai blew something up again."
"That's what, the third time this week?" Colin remarked.
"Something like. I'll bring you all some water."

Fang nodded, and glanced over at the window.
Chloe looked at the menu before leaning over the table towards Colin, "What do you suggest?"

"I usually get the crab masala. It's to die for! It's sweet and spicy with a little bit of lime taste to it." He glanced at Fang, mentally kicking himself for doing or saying anything. The last thing he wanted to do was upset him. If there's anyone to blame for this whole damned situation, it's me, he thought sadly.
