"His loss, I'm sure it's delicious." Jade said, offering a small smile.

"Of course it is," Chloe beamed, dumping the pasta out of the pot and into a large bowl and set it on the table, which was surrounded by smaller plates, "Take a seat and take some."

"Thanks." jade said, sitting down and piling some pasta on he plate. She'd just realized how hungry she was.

"Do you think Fang'll be back soon?" Chloe asked her, sitting across from her.

"Umm, I don't really know." Jade said, looking down at her plate. She didn't know if he would come back.

Marco had been studying Jade the moment she entered the room. He felt off center by her presence. Something seemed very off but he couldn't figure it out. He sat back in his chair and, surprisingly, kept his mouth shut. He picked up Waffles and put him on his lap, stroking his fur.

"That's dumb." Chloe muttered, "He gets back to town then disappears again." she glanced over at Marco, "C'mon eat something." she offered, scooping pasta onto her fork, "Also, we should go on a mission soon." she brought up.

Jade wrapped pasta around her fork and listened, interested.

Marco snapped back to reality and stared down at his plate. "Get it Waffles!" He sang and nudged his pet into the plate. The dog rolled around in the pasta on the table and made a complete mess of everything. Marco look at Chloe and merely said "I think he likes it. Can I get some more?"

Jade looked at the dog with amusement but she stayed silent and continued eating.

Chloe laughed, amused, "Sure, here." she said, going to the counter and getting more of the pasta that was still in the pot before bringing it to Waffles, "Here ya go, boy." She sat back down in her chair, "But seriously, do you guys want to take up a job? I'm bored of just staying in town."

"I'm game, lets go take care of that now!" Marco stood up and put a foot on his chair, striking a dramatic pose. "We can take on the world! We've unstoppable! We shan't fail and we shan't be so 'bored', as you put it! Onward!" He pointed towards the door, hoping to get some motivation.

"No need to be dramatic, Marco." Chloe laughed, amused, "Alright, just give me a minute, then we'll go right away, I promise."

((Off to bed, sorry :3 Night!))

(Night!)

"Wait, right now?" Jade said, slightly alarmed.

Marco sat down in his seat and crossed his arms. "The sooner the better!"

"I know, I know." Chloe said, amused by Marco, then looked over at Jade, "Well, there's nothing better to do. You don't have to come along if you don't want to."

Fang swung open the door to Faith's Edge and walked up the stairs towards Balthasar's quarters, "Balthasar, Chloe--"
"If you're talking about the girl from Death's Bloom that is with her, I am fully aware." the man replied, glancing up from his desk.
"And you're okay with that?" Fang gaped, "After everything her group has done to us?"
"She didn't directly do anything to us, besides I see good in her." He replied simply.

Jade thought for a moment. "Nah I'll come, better than sitting around by myself." she said

"That's the spirit." Chloe said with a smile, "But I suppose we can at least finish our meal before running off."

"That might be wise." Jade said with a soft laugh

Chloe propped her arms up on the table, "Are you sure you want to go with us though? I'm not trying to talk you out of it, it's just . . . you're okay with siding to fight with us even though we were once your enemy?" she asked curiously.

"They were my enemies more than you ever were, at least if i think about it." Jade said with a shrug, though she was nervous about running into people she knew.

"Alright then," Chloe said with a reassuring smile, "We'll probably have a mission that isn't even connected to your group, so don't worry too much."

"I'll try not to." jade said with a half smile before taking another bite of pasta. "This is delicious by the way." she complimented.

"Thanks!" Chloe said, brightening up, "Cooking is one of my favorite things to do." she admitted, "Though I'm trying to get better at it." she rambled on.

"You seem pretty good at it already." Jade said, enjoying her food.
