"Very true. What do you want to do?"

Helena trotted out to the courtyard, searching for her brother.

"I dunno," she said, turning over to him, "Maybe wanna just walk around for a bit?"

Ciaran spotted his sister and moved over to his side, "Took you long enough." he smirked.

"Sure, sounds good." He smiled down at her. "Let's go."

"I have to look my best, don't I?"

Dawn took his hand and leaned against him as she led him out of the room.

"I suppose." He said, "did you think of anything at least?"

Avan wrapped an arm around her, smiling.

"We could always hurt her. That'd make him mad."

Dawn smiled up at him, "So, is it okay having your family members around the Academy?"

"Perhaps put deadman's blood into a drink of hers." Ciaran said, crossing his arms.

"Not those two," he snorted. "I came to this school to get away from my family."
"Well then. I guess I'll just leave," an all too familiar voice said off to the side.
Avan laughed and turned. "Skylar? What're you doing here?"
"I've come to annoy the living crap out of you. Hey Dawn!" He kissed the top of her head.

"I like the way you think."

"Hey, Skylar." Dawn grinned up at him, letting go of Avan and hugged him, "It's good to see you again."

"And, I was able to take some from the Monster Defense class." he said, holding a vial of the dark blood.

"You, too. How're you all doing?"
"Eh. Been better. Satan and Lillith are here."
"Ugh. I heard."

"Fantastic. Now how to get her to drink it."

"It seems none of you like them," Dawn sighed and looked over at Skylar, able to hear his heartbeat. Before she knew what she was doing she looked at him and asked, "Hey, Skylar, wanna go catch up over breakfast?"

"We could possibly slip it into one of her drinks when the two of them are together," Ciaran suggested, crossing his arms.

"No one does," Skylar said, laughing. "Yeah, that OK, Avan?"
"Uh, yeah, go talk. I'll go hang out all by myself or with Leo. Go have fun."

"Won't she smell it though?"

"Sorry, Avan." Dawn said, truly feeling bad, but she couldn't let Avan stop her from feeding, she was practically dying of thirst, it was driving her crazy, "I need to stop in my room first, Skylar, mind coming?" she asked, starting to walk towards her dorm.

"True, but she's a new vampire, she may not notice the difference," Ciaran frowned, but then raised an eyebrow, watching Skylar and Dawn walk by, "We may not have to do this after all." he smirked, "Seems like Skylar is doing all the work for us."

Skylar glanced at Avan as if asking for permission. When Avan smiled and nodded, Skylar turned back to Dawn. "Let's go then." Beaming, he offered her his arm.

Helena snorted. "Another bumbling idiot at the Academy. Fantastic."

Dawn took his arm and smiled up at him, leading the way towards her dorm.

"But he'll be useful to us, if he's around that girl. We an spark some anger caused by jealousy into our cousin." Ciaran smirked.

Avan left to find Leo, if the boy was even awake yet.

"Well, Avan was always the jealous type. This'll go well." She watched Skylar and Dawn until they were out of sight.

Dawn led him to her dorm before looking up at him, "I need to go grab a sweatshirt, mind coming inside with me?" she asked with a small smile.

"Then let's get this started." he smirked, getting up and headed towards Avan.

He shrugged, following her inside. "Sure."

Helena followed him. "Oh cousin!"
"And the devil approacheth," he greeted dully. "How can I help you two ingrates today? Need some help finding the souls you seem to have lost at birth?"

Dawn opened the door, leading him inside. She tilted Skylar's head down to hers and whispered, her eyes turning red, "Sit down and relax, this is going to be fun." she compelled

Ciaran brushed off the comment, "We just saw your little girl and Skylar walking by. They were talking about ditching you to go to the city to have some . . personal time, if you know what I mean." he smirked.

"OK . . . I like fun." He obeyed and leaned back on his hands.

Avan narrowed his eyes. "Why are you so concerned about it?"

Dawn walked up behind him and bent over, her hands trailing over his neck before her fangs poked through and she bit down at his neck.

"Because, I've noticed that you fancy her." He said innocently, "And I'm just looking out for my cousin. After all, Skylar is planning to take her from you."

Skylar stiffened at the initial sting before relaxing. He tilted his head to the side, baring more of his neck.

"Is he now? So, I'm expected to believe you even though we both hate each other over Skylar who is practically my brother? Can you see why I'm a little more than skeptic?"
Helena sighed. "Can you just put all that aside for right now? I hate Skylar more than I hate you, and I'd rather see you happy with a girl than him, so there."
He glanced at her, eyes still narrow and calculating.

Dawn pulled him closer to her as she continued to drink. His blood was the best she had ever tasted, and she couldn't get enough of it.

"It's true." Ciaran said, "I hope they don't do too much things together while they're all alone."

Skylar flinched. It was a strange sensation - more like reverse blood flow than bleeding from a wound.

Avan turned and left without a word, jealousy and curiosity getting the best of him. He headed for Dawn's room first.

Dawn moved her head back, licking the trailing blood away from Skylar's neck, "See, wasn't that fun?" she murmured, sitting on his lap.

Ciaran smirked, "I think we did a good job."

"Fun. Bizarre. Whatever word suits best."

"Should we follow him? See how much he blows up?"
