Dawn released a sigh as they reached the bottom stairs, "Of course it would," she took out her clawed gauntlets and looked around, feeling like they were being watched.

Avan wrapped the chain once around his hand, the knife dangling from the other. He held his breath, searching for any sign of movement.

Drake looked around, almost yelping in surprise as a girl jumped towards him, fangs barred. He stumbled back, slashing at him with the scythe as more of the vamps circled around the group.

Avan decapitated one with a flick of the dart, but the others were more on guard. "I think we found the vampires," he remarked, laughing nervously.

"Yeah," Drake said, with equal nervousness in his voice as he sliced through one. He turned his head, seeing Dawn head after a fleeing vampire. He went to call her back, but the vampire he was fighting kept him busy.

Avan slashed away at an oncoming vampire. He danced out of the way before it collided with him. He licked his lips nervously and bent his knees, ready to run, attack, or jump.

Drake moved back after slicing through one of the vampire's hearts, "Well, crap." he muttered as more moved in.

Dawn ran down the hallway, skidding to a stop as the vampire she was chasing looked at her with its unnatural red eyes. His black curled hair was styled perfectly as he ran his tongue over his lips, "My, I was hoping you'd come chasing me."
"Time to die," she said, claws at the ready.
"Drop the weapon," he ordered in a suave voice, looking her in the eyes. Her heart skipped a beat as she obeyed, undoing the leather straps of the gauntlets and letting them drop the the floor.
"Now come here," she had no choice to obey, her feet moving on their own.

Avan spun in place - as gracefully and meticulously as a dancer - his knife cutting through two vamps and injuring a third. He lunged, the tails of his coat flaring behind him. Every time one died, another took its place. "Drake! I'm going to lead some of them away from you!" he called before taking off down an adjacent hallway. Six or seven sprinted after him.
"Aaaaaaaaaahhhh!" Avan yelled, flailing his arms.

Drake blinked, "Avan, what the hell?!" He said, shocked, though it worked, he was left with a less overwhelming group of vampires. "I-I can handle this," he took a deep breath, slashing at them.

Dawn shook as she stood at the vampire's side, who smirked, "There, there, no need to be scared." he muttered, "Just stand still," she had no choice but to obey, her body becoming still as he moved her now snow white hair (due to Jealousy) away from the side of her neck. He grinned, his teeth sinking into her neck as she winced.

Avan jerked around, the heel of his boot colliding with a male's chest. He drove him against the wall and pinned him there. Avan dug the dagger into his throat before ripping it free and slashing another two.

Drake continued to strike at all of them with ease as he swung his scythe around. He looked around as the numbers started to lower.

Dawn felt a pleasant feeling go through her the longer the vampire indulged in her blood. She actually pressed him closer to her. The feeding went on for a few minutes until the vampire broke away, licking his bloodstained lips. Dawn swooned a bit, falling to her knees, but the vampire picked her up. "You're just what our group needs." he muttered, biting into his own wrist before bringing it to Dawn's lips.

Avan yelled through his teeth as one cut him across the shoulder blade. He fell against a wall and moved in time to dodge another blow. He turned, hissing through the pain and glided forward, stabbing his attacker in the forehead. He jerked the blade free and circled around the final two, bangs falling in front of his face.

Drake finished the last of his group and ran over to Avan, "Where is Dawn?" he asked, out of breath.

Dawn fell to the ground after she indulged in the vampire's blood. The vampire smirked, "Soon, you'll be a creature of the night." he muttered, a knife in his hand, ready to kill her.

"She ran off down the hall, I don't know where she is!" he yelled, stabbing the last vampire in the heart. "But I don't like how long she's been gone. Let's go look for her."

Drake nodded, running down the hall, seeing her gauntlets in the hallway before a door. "Not good, not good," he muttered, bursting through the door, seeing the vampire about to stab Dawn.
"Get away from her!" he roared, running forward and slashed at the vampire, making him jump back and retreat.
He knelt next to Dawn, placing her in his lap as he looked at the bite mark and the blood dripping from it, "No, no." he muttered, "Not good, not good," he picked her up gently before running down the hallway.

Avan looked between where the vampire had disappeared and Drake's rapidly retreating outline. He snarled in frustration and took off after Drake.

"Looks like they got her pretty good," Drake said, running up the staircase.

Avan followed two steps behind. "Get her to my car. I have some medical supplies in the trunk."

"Got it," Drake nodded, rushing out of the club and pushed past people on the street to get over to Avan's car.

Avan followed in his wake, rubbing his hands together nervously.

Drake rested her on the car seat, blood still dripping down her neck, "It's not good, Avan," he said, starting to panic.

"Calm down. Panicking won't help anything," he said calmly, grabbing the medical kit from the trunk and kneeling down next to Dawn's head. He brushed her hair away from the wound and started cleaning and binding it. "We don't know if she was turned for certain or not, do we?"

"She only has a bite mark though, that alone doesn't change a person, right? Besides, don't they have to die to get to the final stage of becoming a vampire?"

"They do, but the period between the bite and the death can be an unruly one. We'll have to watch her carefully," he said, tying off the bandage around her neck. "Let her rest back here. Sit up front, and I'll get us back to the Academy."

"I guess you're right . .and of course." he said, getting into the passenger seat, "As long as I get to pick the music."
