Outcasts RP

Alaric watched as Ada finished patching him up. She looked over at Alaric and smiled slightly, "He will be fine, he'll just need to stay in bed for a few days."
"I'll talk with him when he wakes up." Alaric sighed, shaking his head. He had no clue why his brother would be so careless.

Mercy decided to find Jack first to give Alaric more time. She walked into their room and saw him sitting up in bed.
"Morning little one. You're just now getting up?" she asked him
"I was tired." he replied sheepishly
"Yeah well wake up. I've gotta leave again." Mercy said regretfully
"Again?!?" Jack exclaimed
"Sorry, Lacie asked me to lead a mission and I've gotta leave by tomorrow morning."

Alaric gently picked up his brother, who wasn't very heavy, and shouldered the door open as he headed towards their room.
"Damn it, Allen." he shook his head, "If mom was alive, she'd kill me for letting you do something so stupid."

Jack let out a little sigh "Okay I guess." he said sadly
"Don't always act so down about it. The more I leave the sooner I won't have to leave anymore." Mercy said, trying to make him feel better.

Alaric put his brother gently into the bed. He looked over his wounds again and sighed, covering a white bedsheet over his brother before exiting.
Mimi was outside of the door, and she wore a worried expression, "Is he going to be okay?" she asked quietly.
Alaric smiled sadly at her, "He'll be fine, I promise."
"Good." Mimi said, brightening up a bit, "I'm going to keep an eye on him." she declared as she made her way into the room.

"True I guess." Jack said with a resigned shrug
"I have to go talk to Alaric, but I'll be back in just a minute." Mercy replied, brushing a quick kiss on the top of his head before exiting the room, and heading off to find Alaric.

Alaric headed outside to the back porch. He released a small sigh as he sat down at the small steps, annoyed with how things were going from bad to worse. "There can't be a day of peace here, can there?" he huffed.

Mercy walked around the back of the farm house and saw Alaric coming down the steps.
"Is he going to be okay?" she asked him

Alaric looked up at her and nodded, "Yeah, he'll be fine. We'll just have to wait until he wakes up to see what had happened." he sighed tiredly.

"Siblings." Mercy said with a tired and rueful chuckle

"Yeah." Alaric said with a slight smile, "So, what do you need?" he asked

"Ah well...I hate to ask this right now but would you be willing to come on a mission with me tomorrow morning? Lacie wants us to go to Laviern and take care of a problem with people against Alexander disappearing."

Alaric looked at her for a moment, "I'm guessing declining isn't an option, so I guess I have to come."

"I'd be really grateful if you did, but you don't have to. Lacie told me to ask whoever I wanted." Mercy said with a shrug and a small smile.

"I'll go, I won't leave you alone on this." he smiled.

"Thank you." Mercy said with a relieved smile "Going alone would've been... daunting."

"Are you going to take anyone else along?" Alaric asked, standing up.

"I wasn't going to, since Gen can't come. I don't really know too many people that well." Mercy replied

Alaric frowned, crossing his arms, "Why can't she come?" he thought allowed, and when he realized why, it hit him, "Right. right, because she took the blame for me." he sighed.

"And she won't say why." Mercy said "Maybe it was a spur of the moment thing I don't know. We don't really talk all that much."

Alaric nodded, and then said awkwardly, "I owe her, but . . . I need to know why." he said quietly, his feelings conflicted.

((I'm so tired, off to bed. Night!))

Mercy nodded "Yeah, I wish.." she trailed off, then shook her head with a half smile to herself "Ah, never mind I wish for a lot of things."

"I think I may go ask her." he said bluntly, "And I refuse to take no for an answer."

"I'm sure she's just as stubborn as you, so be careful." Mercy said with slight amusement.

"I'm willing to risk it." he said with a slight smile, "I'll be back soon, I promise." he said and headed off to look for Gen.
