"Heard that!" Colin called, coughing out a puff of smoke and smacking his lips. "The only side effect I don't like about this."

"I guess being part dragon isn't as great as it seems." She smiled, "I think we'll easily take down those punks."

"Let's hope so." Jade said with a half smirk. The tendrils of fire she'd been working with disappeared and a huge column of fire erupted into the sky.

"Wooooow," Colin marveled, watching the fire shoot into the air. "That's scaring me right now, to be honest."
"Yeah, freaking terrifying," Devon said with a self-deprecating smirk.
"Shut up, Devon."

"A dragon being afraid of fire?" Fang smirked, "What a wimpy dragon." he teased.

"Watch it. I can still roast your skinny ass whenever I feel like it," he joked, pointing at Fang. "It'd be an unfortunate waste of an ass, but I'd get over it."

Jade grinned and let the column wink out of existence.
"Be nice, it was a lot of fire." Jade joked, flicking sparks off her fingers in Fang's direction

"I know, my butt is great, isn't it?" Fang said with a joking wink and then yelped as he jumped back, "Not cool, not cool." he frowned.

"Now who's afraid of fire?" Jade teased with a smirk

"Eh, I'd give it an 8," Colin remarked, leaning back to take another look. "Thank you, Jade. You can keep doing that if you want to."

"Hey, I thought you were on my side." Fang sighed, backing up.
Chloe laughed at the two, "You guys are so cute."

"I'm pretty sure that is the first time anyone has used that word to describe me." Jade said, with a bemused expression.

Colin grinned and shrugged at Chloe. "Don't worry, the wimpy dragon won't let you get too hurt. Maybe just a few singed hairs."

"My beautiful hair? Man, I can't believe you'd let the mean fire girl ruin my hair." Fang frowned.

"Aw but I could give you such a nice haircut Fang." Jade teased, laughing

Colin clicked his tongue sadly and pouted. "I know. It'd be such a shame, but it'd be good for you in the long run," he said, ruffling Fang's hair playfully.

"I don't want one though," he complained then looked at Colin and smiled, "Gee thanks. I better let you guys get some more training done instead of distracting." he said, waving before heading out.
Chloe watched as he left then looked over at Colin and blurted out, "You know, you and Fang would be so cute together."

Jade snorted "Oh dear lord." she said, cracking up laughing at the image.

Colin blinked at her, his face slowly turning red. "R-really? Me and Fang?" He forced a laugh. "Right. Yeah . . . that'd be weird," he stuttered, glancing at the place where Fang had disappeared.

"I knew it!" Chloe grinned, "There is more than a friendship going on there! Isn't that cute, Jade?" she asked, turning to her.

Colin rubbed the back of his head, trying and failing at innocence. "Why else do you think I'm so protective of him?"

Jade bit the inside of her lip and snickered "Oh yeah, definitely."

"I thought it was a brother thing, not just like-liking thing." Chloe grinned, "Go and tell him!"

"Oh please. Even brothers aren't that protective." He hesitated, biting his lip. "I don't know . . . I don't want to ruin anything."

Chloe grinned, "Just tell him! Do it!" she said, starting to push him in Fang's direction.
