"Uhm, well we have some cool weapons in the weapon room, follow me." he said, taking her hand.

Alice laughed, "Don't worry, I won't baby you."

Blair giggled and squeezed his hand. "Lead the way!"

Kit smirked. "Good." He settled down on the roof again. "Come sit."

Ethan grinned happily, leading him towards the storage room with weapons. He switched on the light and weapons of all types lined the walls, "Ta-dah the biggest weapon collection in Milbo."

"Okay." Alice nodded, sitting down next to him.

"Wow," she marveled, inspecting the weapons. "Which one do you use?"

He was quiet for a long moment. "Thank you. For earlier with the carnival."

"Usually this." He said, pointing at the bat, "But now that Alice fancies it, I'll probably go back to my first weapon, rope dart."

Alice smiled at him, "Anytime, Kit."

"Rope darts are fun. Very hard to control though."

He offered a rare, crooked smile.

"I'm a pro though, so I should be good." he winked.

"He smiles? It must be a miracle!" she teased.

"Good. Don't want you cutting up that pretty face of yours," she teased with a wink.

And that pulled another smile from him. "It's been known to happen on occasion. Don't expect it to be a daily thing."

Ethan grinned with a small laugh, "I can't understand why anyone would dislike you."

"Then I'll just appreciate it more when it happens." she laughed.

"I wasn't always this nice. I've made mistakes. I've hurt people," she said sadly, running her thumb over a dagger sheath.

Kit watched her laugh, a little amazed by her. He never trusted anyone easily. Even with Hakkam, it took him a while to trust him. But her. She had only been here a day.

Ethan cupped her face in his hands, "That was the past, that doesn't matter."

Alice looked out at the city thoughtfully before looking back at him, "So, we've got things to do, right?"

"I wish the others thought the same," she said sadly, resting her hands over his.

"Things as in? 'Things' is a very vague term. I'm not good with vague."

"We'll make them, let's go find Hakkam." He said, taking her hand and led her out of the weapon room.

"I mean with you know, getting rid of Blair."

"No, Ethan. Kit and Hakkam can't be made to do anything. They have to do it on their own. It'll take time, but I'm willing to wait," she assured.

"Right. We have 'things' to do in that area. Not right now. We'll start tomorrow."

Ethan stopped, looking at her, "If you're sure . . but talking to him may help."

"Okay then, let's get some sleep then." She said, standing up.

"No. They're stubborn. They have to make up their minds for themselves." She squeezed his hand. "They'll come around. You'll see."

Kit stood up after her and stretched. He rarely slept, but he was tired after the carnival.

"You sound sure about that." Ethan smiled, "That's good."

"So, do I have to go and tuck you in or can you handle yourself?" she smiled.

"I'm an optimistic person."

Kit snorted. "I can handle myself."

"So, that's about it. This place isn't very interesting." Ethan said, "But with you here, that may change."

"Alright then." she smiled, heading down the stairs.

"I'll do my best," she replied with a big grin.

Kit followed her down and headed to his theater to sleep.

Ethan yawned, "We should go get some sleep, you're welcome to sleep in Aiden's and my theater . There's an extra couch in there.

"Night, Kit." Alice smiled as she headed to the lobby to sleep on one of the couches.

"Thanks. I think I'll take you up on that."

Kit woke up before everyone else the next morning. He had never been able to sleep very long. He stretched his arms and shook his head.

Alice sat outside the theater on one of the steps, looking at the rising sun idly. She hadn't been able to sleep that night, yet she didn't feel tired. She released a sigh as her mind wandered.

Kit got to his feet and, stretching again. He yawned and wandered around the theater. Everything was quiet.

Sam exited from his movie booth, releasing a yawn and a large stretch as he started to patrol the halls. He was still hesitant about the decision he made yesterday.

Ethan was sprawled out in his pull out bed, muttering something in his sleep as he turned over.
