"Who owns this place?" Mimi asked.
"A girl named Isabella" Alaric responded

"She's pretty cool." Mercy assured

"Good!" Mimi said, beaming up at Mercy, "Better then Lacie, I hope."
"A lot better," Alaric said with a nod.

"That's good." Jack said grinning and looking around.

"I guess we'll show you where we stay and then let you guys get some rest." Alaric said.
"But I'm not even tired" Mimi frowned.

"Me neither!" Jack protested
Mercy raised an eyebrow at him "I doubt that." she teased

"We just escaped, and almost got killed," Alaric pointed out, "I'm pretty sure you're a bit tired out." he smirked.

"Okay, maybe just a little." Jack admitted
"Come on, I'll show you where we are staying." Mercy said, starting to walk.

"Meet up with you back here?" Alaric asked Mercy as she started to walk away.

"Yeah, see ya in a minute." Mercy said, guiding Jack to their room.

"Got it," Alaric nodded and headed towards his room, his two siblings following behind him.
"Will we ever go back home?" Mimi asked quietly.
Alaric turned and knelt down before her, putting a hand on her shoulder, "Maybe one day, but this is our new home." he said with a small smile.

"I'm glad you're alright." Jack said quietly as they walked into the room
"I always come back, didn't I promise?" Mercy assured, ruffling his hair

Alaric brought them to the room, "Chill out here, I'm going to go look for Isabella real fast."
"Alright," Allen said with a nod.

"Do you have to leave again?" Jack asked sadly "
"Yes, I'm sorry." Mercy said, plating a kiss on his head "Stay out of trouble, and I'll be back soon." she promised as she walked out the door.

"No, I'm not, but if this is happening in other rebel groups, they're just as bad as Alexander's men. They should meet the same fate, shouldn't they?"

Isabella paced angrily in the hallway. "So, we have to sit here and do nothing?"
"Unless you want Gen and Levi to get killed," Israel said calmly.
"I can't do that!"
"Maybe we can put eyes on the surrounding buildings," Scott suggested.
"We can try. I'm not sure how observant the guards are," Israel replied.

Gen hesitated, "Yes . . ." she said slowly, "But you may kill some rebels who are innocent as well." she muttered, a bit conflicted and worried about how he was sounding.

Alaric stood at the doorway, "Is something wrong?" he asked, only getting the last few sentences of the conversation.

"I don't have time to interview every single one of them." He raked his hands through his hair. "But the group shouldn't suffer by the acts of a few," he muttered into his hand.

"Levi and Gen are in Victoria's custody. As long as Levi does what they say, they'll keep Gen alive and unharmed. If we come near the mansion, they'll kill Gen and possibly Levi," Isabella explained. "Any ideas? We're running dry."

"Just be careful, Levi." she said quietly, "And don't forget what you stand for."

Alaric hesitated, trying to think, "Right now . . . I'm coming up with nothing." he sighed, "If we just attack them, it'll mean death for us all . . .so . . . "he sighed heavily.

He smiled and ran his thumb over her cheek. "I know, and I'll have you to keep me in check, right?"

"I guess we'll have to wait, and maybe they can figure a way out of it themselves," Isabella said slowly, hating every word.
"I can keep surveillance on the house. I can use the street kids and watch the place at night easily enough," Israel offered.
"Do that for now. Maybe we can find some hole in their security."

Gen put her hand against his thumb and nodded, "Of course." she moved forward and kissed his softly on the cheek.

"Hm," Alaric frowned, thinking hard but came up with nothing, "They are smart, perhaps they'll find a way." he muttered reluctantly.

Levi kissed her forehead. "I'll leave you to rest."

Isabella nodded with equal reluctance. "If not, we'll have to break them out somehow."

"Alright," Gen nodded, "I'm here if you need me. Good luck."

"Sounds like a plan." Alaric nodded, "We'll just have to think of it carefully."

Levi smiled. "Try to get some rest. You need it." He kissed her cheek before slipping from the room. He trotted downstairs and found his mother sipping wine and talking with Uncle George in parlor.
She smiled at him. "The man of the hour, welcome back. How's dear Gen?"
"She'll heal."
"Good. Do you want to see where you'll be sleeping?"
"Sure." He followed her back up the stairs.

Isabella grinned and turned towards Scott. "Can you get me a layout of their mansion?"
"I can try. Why?"
"Victoria and Alexander are smart, though it pains me to admit it. They'd have a backup plan if they were attacked. There's gotta be some other way to get in and out of that mansion."
"I'll get on that."

Gen closed her eyes, struggling to sleep due to her worry for Levi. She felt guilty for putting him into his position.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" Alaric asked, straightening up.
