"Sure," Alice nodded, taking his hand and led him down the hall, glancing around.

Sam stood up, blood dripping down his nose and blinked, dazed. Ethan nodded, eyes softening, "Of course, I don't want to upset you." he murmured, "I didn't mean to upset you."

The theater was surprisingly quiet and empty. "Where'd everyone go?"

Blair nodded a little. "It's alright." She put one hand on Sam's back, steadying him. "I'm going to get him cleaned up, alright?"

"Hmm . . . I don't know." Alice frowned but continued walking and heard Blair faintly, "Wait, over here maybe." she said, taking the corner towards Sam's theater.

"Sure, do what you need." Ethan nodded, "Again, I'm so sorry, my dear."
Sam was still a bit dazed, not comprehending anything going on.

Kit followed her, curious.

Blair smiled. "It's alright. I understand that you were angry." She led Sam to an infirmary to get him cleaned up.

Sam wobbled a bit as he walked alongside her, blinking rapidly.
Alice found Blair and smiled, "There's someone." she announced to Kit, leading him over.

"You alright?" Blair asked Sam gently. She heard Alice's voice and glanced over, finding her and Kit walking over. "Hey guys!"

"Just a bit dizzy," Sam muttered, blinking over at the two.
Alice smiled, "Hey, we were wondering where everyone went. We just got back from the arcade and we thought everyone had left."

"Oh, they're just fighting over me is all."
"I'm sure you enjoyed that," Kit replied. It wasn't mean or rude, just teasing.
Blair glanced at Alice. "I didn't dislike it, to be honest," she said with a little giggle.

Alice smiled, feeling like she should please Blair, "You deserve to have some fun with them." she nodded.
Sam looked at Kit, a bit amused as he pressed his hand against the wall, "I didn't think you'd ever be the teasing type." he commented.

"You learn something new everyday," Kit replied with a careless, one-shouldered shrug. He nodded towards the infirmary. "Get him patched up. He looks awful. He needs to keep his face pretty for you, Blair."

Sam nodded, "Patching up would be nice." he smirked, "I think that bastard broke my nose." he complained, trudging to the infirmary.

Blair giggled. "Maybe it'll make you look even more like a badass."

Sam smiled, "If that's what you want, then I hope it does." he said, sitting down on one of the cots.
"I'll patch him up if you'd like." Alice offered.

Blair smiled at her. "Will you? I'm actually really bad at this. Kit always patched everyone up in the old days."

"Sure." Alice offered, running cold sink water and soaked a cloth and started to wash the blood from Sam's nose.

Blair tapped Kit on the arm and gestured to follow her. He raised an eyebrow and followed. She leaned one shoulder against the wall and looked at him for a moment. "You're acting different. Civil, for once."
He shrugged. "I figured it wasn't worth the effort and decided to just go with it."
She smiled slightly. "We could be a good team, you and I."
"We used to be, remember?"
She laughed once. "Oh, I remember. Back when we got along."
He smiled mischievously. "I wouldn't describe it as 'getting along'. It was much more than that."
She poked his chest. "I also remember that. For being a cold bastard half the time, you weren't so bad at the romantic stuff."
He shrugged one shoulder. "I was just winging it half the time."
She clicked her tongue. "Why did we ever break up? We were great."
Kit only looked at her pointedly. "You know why."
She waved a dismissive hand. "I was pissed off at you. I didn't mean to almost kill you. I was expecting the knife to miss your chest, I promise."
He rolled his eyes, but he didn't seem mad. In fact, he took her hand. "Do you remember the time when we slept on that half-destroyed bridge?"
"And Hakkam freaked out when he found us?" she replied with a laugh. "Oh yes. He thought I was going start spitting out babies right then and there."
Kit laughed. "I've never seen him so scared. Hakkam, the child soldier from Africa, scared of a possible pregnant woman."
"Everyone has his limits."

Alice started to patch up Sam's broken nose in silence, though it didn't seem to be working. She swore and put her hand on his broken nose and frowned. She closed her eyes, not knowing what she was doing. When she opened them she found Sam's nose fixed with just faded blood on his face.
Sam blinked, confused. He frowned at her, "It feels perfect all the sudden, what happened?"

"Imagine me pregnant though."
He groaned dramatically. "You're moody enough as it is! You don't need to add raging hormones to the mix."
She laughed and poked his chest. "Hey now. I'm not that bad."
Kit raised a skeptical eyebrow.
"OK, maybe I'm pretty awful, but you loved me all the same."
"I did, didn't I?" He smiled. It was gentle, happy. "Maybe I still do, who knows?"
It was Blair's turn to raise an eyebrow. "You have a funny way of showing it."
"You know me. Never good with the whole communication and relationships thing."

Sam ended up dozing off on the cot and Alice stood by the door, waiting or Kit and Blair to come back, excited about the new ability she had learned.

Blair smiled and pushed back one of Kit's curls away from his forehead. "I know. It's endearing. I should check on Sam," she added after a pause. She smiled again before slipping back into the infirmary.

Alice perked up when Blair returned, "He's sleeping," she said, gesturing to Sam, "But I fixed his nose, completely!" she said with pride.

She raised an eyebrow. "Really? Impressive!"

"Yeah, these powers that I have are. . incredible." she smiled happily, "anyways, what's up?"

"Nothing. Just chatting with Kit. Good work on him, by the way. He's back to his old self. When I first met him, I mean."

Alice smiled, "He's a lot of fun, I like him like this." she thought aloud, "I want to keep him this way."
