"I don't know, but is it a monster world?" He frowned, "I look like a damn zombie."

"You make a cute zombie" Ava teased, forgetting the earlier argument for a minute.

Nik smiled slightly before looking away, "Well, let's get this over with."

Ava's smile receded and she sighed "Right, let's go."

"Your mission, lead the way." he gestured.

Ava shrugged and started walking down the street, peering warily down the dark side streets as they passed.

Nik walked a few steps behind her, glancing around at their surroundings.

"This is kind of creepy." Ava muttered, shivering as several bats swooped overhead.

"Yeah." Nik said, looking as they they reached the town square that was surrounded by creepy, broken down buildings.

"Seriously, anything could jump out at as right now." Ava said, keeping a careful eye on their surroundings.

Nik turned his head as he was about to respond but he heard rustling coming from behind a black iron fence. He narrowed his eyes, moving towards it.

Ava's keyblade appeared in her hand as she walked beside him, trying to make out what it was in the darkness.

Nik moved towards the sound, as he neared the figure popped out of the bushes and Nik yelled in shock, falling on his butt. A large, lanky figure with a white, featureless face, "Welcome!" he bellowed

Ava jumped, startled as the man popped out of the bushes.
"Um thanks?" she said, after regaining her composure.

"What are you?" Nik stared, getting back to his feet.
The man looked at him, confused, "Surely you have heard of me! I am the King of this land. I am the King of fears! I am Nightmare!"

"Oh well...nice to meet you Mr. Nightmare." Ava said warily, unsure what else to say.

"You two aren't from around here, are you?" He asked, curiously. He looked at them as if he had eyes.
"You could say that." Nik frowned, remembering he had to keep the other worlds a secret.

"Where exactly are we?" Ava asked, looking around

"Halloween town." He exclaimed.

"Oh!" Ava said, everything suddenly making sense

"So that's why we look like freaks."
"Excuse me?" Nightmare asked, confused.
"Nothing." Nik said, shaking his head.
"Well, I must go hunt down those shadow like creatures! We need them for the festival!"

"Festival?" Ava asked, then shook her head "Never mind, mind if we come with you to find the shadow creatures?' she asked, figuring they must be Heartless.

"Of course! I'll need all the help I can rounding them up!"

"Why do you want them?" Ava asked, realizing he wouldn't be too happy if they killed them.

"To add an extra scare to the festival! I need to top last years event!" Nightmare explained excitedly.
