"Well, I am more likeable," he said with a cheeky smile.

Gen hugged him back, "We'll have to start planning on where it's going to be, who's going," she exhaled, grinning, "I'm just so excited, this is all so exciting."

"Heh, heh, you're hilarious. And probably right."

"It should be outside," he murmured. "Because you look stunning in the sun."

"I was just joking, you're very likable yourself, Isabella."

Gen blushed lightly, "You're so sweet, Levi. One of the reasons why I love you so much."

"Oh, well, thank you, Alaric."

"Of which, I'm sure there are many," he teased.

"Anytime you need compliments, just come to me." he winked.

"It's a long list," she smiled, but then sighed, "I just hope the rebels are put in place before the wedding," she said, sounding almost scared, "I don't want them to be anywhere near it."

"I'll remember that. If I'm ever having a bad day, I'll come to you."

Levi hesitated for half a second. "I'll make sure they stay away."

"Good, or I'll hunt you down and compliment you," Alaric sighed, "That sounded much cooler in my head."

"Thank you," Gen said quietly, looking down, scared, "After what they did to my father, I'm afraid they'll hurt me, too."

Isabella threw her head back and laughed. "Such a threat."

"I would never let them do that," he assured, kissing her neck gently, slowly.

"I'm a very threatening person, ya know," he said with a light smile.

"Thank you," She said, hugging him tightly, "I know you'll always be there to protect me."

"Obviously. If it was between fighting you or a kitten, I'd choose the kitten because you're far too intimidating."

"Always," he murmured against her skin.

"Awh, not a kitten, they're too cute to fight,"

"I love you, Levi," Gen said quietly, kissing the hallow of his neck.

"The fighting would end up being more of a playing session, but you get my point."
"We're here," Scott announced, reaching the gates of the city.

"I love you, too." Even as he smiled and kissed her, a hollow feeling settled in his stomach. He knew this wasn't real. If Gen was back to her normal self, she'd be furious with him right now. And rightly so. He didn't deserve this love. Not now.

"Still, kittens are great, don't hate." He perked up at Scott's news, "Thank Gods!"

Gen broke away from the kiss, looking at him sadly, noticing something was wrong, "Are you okay, dear?"

"No hatin' here." She grinned. "Excellent."
Scott leaned out the window. "We're the reinforcements for King Duncan."
The guard nodded. "Go right in. He's waiting for you."
"Thank you, sir." He urged the truck forward again.

"What? Yeah, it's just everything is happening so fast with the wedding. I'm just a bit overwhelmed is all." He kissed her cheek briefly. "Nothing to worry about."

"Duncan," Alaric said, making a face, "Ross . . " he said, groaning, "Great."

"Oh," Gen said, looking flustered, "If it's too much, we can delay it for another month or so, I don't want it to become too much . ." she started to babble.

"What?" Isabella asked. "We didn't leave him behind, did we? Because that would be unfortunate. But hilarious."

He laughed and took her face between his hands. "It's fine, Gen. I'll just try not to think too hard."

"I think I saw him get in the other truck," Alaric said, "Thank god for that, I'd hate to be in a truck with him for two days."

Gen looked at him for a moment before smiling, "It'll be fun, though. I can't wait for it."

Isabella laughed. "I'm tempted to lock you two in a room and watch to see what happens."
Scott parked in front of what looked like Duncan's castle. There was a gate separating them, but it was close enough.

"I can't either." He returned the smile. "Come on, let's unpack your stuff."

"I'd kill him, I swear," Alaric said, dead serious.
Duncan stood outside the gates of his castle, looking over at the troops and seemed pleased at the results.

"Alright," Gen smiled, getting up and opening her bag filled with elegant, new dresses, unlike the ones she wore before.

Scott and Isabella stepped out to meet him.
"We rounded up everyone we could," she said, bowing shallowly as she spoke.

"Ooh-la-la, fancy, fancy," Levi laughed, getting up to help her.

"I appreciate this," Duncan said with a kind smile, "We may be able to take down Alexander now."

"I just bought a few," Gen smiled, "I was bored on my trip."

"I think so. Everyone has been training for this ever since Alexander came to power," Isabella said as her men filed out of the trucks and cars.

Levi held up a pink one in front of him. "Do you think it'll look good on me? Or does it clash with my hair?"

"We have a chance to set Avan straight, thanks to your help, Isabella." He looked over as Ross got out of one of the trucks, heading over to his king. He walked past Alaric, the two exchanging glares.

Gen giggled, "I don't think pink is your color."

Isabella shook her head. "We're here to serve."

"No, I don't think so either. Maybe green?"

"Good, follow me inside and we'll discuss battle plans." Duncan said, leading them inside.

"Sure, you'd look very pretty," she laughed.
