"I wanna go see Jennings, though." Finn said, heading towards the door.

"No, I couldn't possibly let you." he said, kissing her on the cheek, "I need to keep my mind on something."

Erza looked over at him, her frown deepening, "I saw him go into the estate with some girl."

"Could it?" he asked hopefully.

"Also something you can't do," she reminded with a sigh.

"If there's anything you need me to do, just let me know."

"A girl? Probably Gen."

Gen beamed at his tone and nodded, "Yes." she breathed, "I'd love that."

"I do what I want." he said before looking around for Jennings.

"Thank you, dear." He kissed her on the cheek, "You just relax."

"Who's this Gen?" Erza asked, making a face.

"I'd like that, too," he replied, smiling in return

"Fine. Don't come crying to me when you get in trouble!"

Isabella smiled. "And you take it easy."

"His former girlfriend."

"All you have to do is stay, Levi. We'd welcome you back with open arms." He said against his cheek.

"I won't!" he called back, deciding to look from him in Israel's room first, since he was with Israel earlier. "Jennings?" he called quietly.

"I'll be upstairs in a while to check in on you though, my dear." he winked, kissing her lightly on the lips.

"This can prove to be troublesome." She glanced over to the side, seeing one of her fellow soldiers goofing off, "Get back to patrolling!" she snapped, sending fear through the man as he ran away.

He smiled, still unsure. "Let me think about it?"

Jennings rolled over, his eyes still a little red. "Finn?"

She grinned and kissed his cheek. "Don't take too long," she whispered.

Kieran smirked. "They're more scared of you than me."

"Of course." Gen said, pulling away, "I. . . I'd just love to have you back." she murmured.

Finn blinked, moving over towards his friend, "What's wrong?" he asked, confused.

"I'll try and finish up as fast as I can." he promised

"You're a puppy compared to me." Erza nodded, "But back to this girl thing, will she get in the way of our goal?"

"I know. I know." He kissed her fingers. "But it's still complicated right now."

"It's Ash. It's all my fault." He sat up and sniffed. "I hate myself."

"Good." She nipped playfully at his neck before walking away.

"Yes, she's a threat. Maybe he'll ignore her. I don't know. We'll have to see."

Gen nodded, "I--" she hesitated before saying carefully, "I'm glad you're here . . I always knew you'd come back." she finished quietly.

Finn looked at him confused and sat on his bed, "Why? You didn't do anything wrong" he said, not knowing about Ash's condition. He was too busy being yelled t to care.

Alaric watched Isabella go with a smile before walking back towards his office.

"He better." Erza said, obviously annoyed, "Or else I'll end her."

"I think I always knew that, too."

"He's sick. He has the disease. I should've told him not to go." He wiped his eyes and nose. "I don't want him to die."

Isabella went to their room. She claimed a book and sat down on the bed.

"Because that won't get you killed. You've seen Levi angry. He'll murder you."

Gen smiled at him, a few happy tears shinning in her eyes, "I . . I just want us to be a family, you know." she said quietly, "You told me if I ran away with you , we'd be happy and have a family. Sometimes I wish I obeyed."

Finn blinked, "No way! Ash can't die! He'll be fine." he urged, "And it's not your fault! he wanted to go."

Alaric hurried to his desk and started to work on paperwork and on the festival, wanting nothing more then to be with his wife.

"Fine, then we'll have to get him to get away from her if it comes to that."

He looked at her, surprised. "Really?"

"I should have told him no." He sniffed again. "He's gonna hate me."

"If it comes to that."

Gen nodded, looking at him with tear brimmed eyes, "We could've raised the kids together, have been happy. . but Levi . . " she sighed, "You didn't have to have me Reprogrammed to accept." she said quietly, sounding betrayed.

Finn blinked at him, unsure what to say, "I don't think he will." he said quietly, unsure himself, "He loves you."

"We need Avon destroyed, no matter the cost." Erza frowned.

He shut down at that. "You hated me at the time, if you remember. I was desperate and I COULDN'T lose you. I couldn't."

He shook his head. "They'll both hate me."

"Shut your mouth, woman," he hissed savagely. "Are you really so dumb that you think they're not watching us, too?"

Gen frowned, "You kissed another girl Levi of course i was mad... but you ended up losing me after what you did.." she hesitated, "but that was the past.."

Finn looked at him sadly, "No one hates you!" He insisted.

Erza smirked, "I'm not concerned if they hear."

Alaric finished up his work before trotting up the stairs and entering their room, "I'm here." He grinned.

Levi looked at Ash. "I should go. I can't leave my men alone for too long." He eased Ash down gently as to not wake him.

"Yes they do! Why wouldn't they?"

"You should, you moronic bitch. They have more men that can kill you. And if they don't, Levi will. He's worked hard to get us here and if you mess it up, he will slit your throat. For some reason, I thought you were smarter than this. I guess I was wrong."

"About time," she teased. "Lay down. You need to relax."

Gen released a sigh, figuring she should have never brought it up. She just nodded, "Shouldn't keep them waiting." she said softly, holding onto Ash.

"Because it's not your fault, Jennings! And you should stop being mad at yourself and try to help your brother." Finn huffed, having enough.

Erza sneered, "No one is around, and don't you dare call me a bitch." she said, slapping him across the face, "Do it again, and I'll make sure you don't make it out alive." she said lowly.

"You don't have to tell me twice." Alaric smiled, laying down next to her and kissed her on the cheek.
