"I'm scared." He whimpered, "I don't feel right. Make it stop!" Ash cried.

"It's dumb. " he grumbled.

"I'm glad." Claudia smiled slightly.

Levi pulled Ash into his arms, letting his head lean against his chest. "Shh. You'll be alright. I'll make sure of it," he soothed.

"I know, but someday you'll understand."

"So do you still want to destroy dummies or go do something else?"

"Dad I'm scared ." He said quietly, "I see things.. monsters in my room. Are they real? Are you real? " he whimpered.

"No! I will never ever punish my kids!" He vowed.

"Well if you want or we can do something more... romantic. "

"I'm real. The monsters aren't. I'm here to protect you from them. I won't let them hurt you."

"Then your children will grow up to be uncontrollable snobs that everyone hates. You don't want that, do you?"

"Romantic. Fun. Relaxed. Whatever you want."

"Why are you here all the sudden then?" He asked quietly, shaking.

Finn just grumbled, crossing his arms.

"I want for you to pick " she smirked.

"Because what kind of father would I be to let his son suffer alone." He smiled and kissed Ash's forehead.

Isabella laughed and stood up. "Well, I'll leave you two be. I need to find your father."

"Fine. Fine. Umm. We haven't dueled each other before. I'm curious as to how good you really are."

"You won't leave again... will you? " Ash trembled.

"Fine. " he mumbled, not looking at her.


"You sure?" She asked and rose an eyebrow, "i won't hold back."

"I'll be right here. I promise."

Isabella smiled over her shoulder and headed out.

"Good. Neither will I."

Ash nodded, whimpering as he hugged onto his father, tears sliding down his cheeks.

"Mom is so unfair." he grumbled.

"Then, let's have at it then." she smirked.

Levi hugged him close. "Want me to stay here with you?"

"I think moms are supposed to be unfair or something."

"Alright. Let me get a sword."

"Please, never leave!" Ash begged weakly, beginning to go into a fit of coughs.

"But that's dumb! Lena, we should sneak out and go outside anyways!"

"Alright." Claudia nodded, taking out her twin swords from their sheaths.

"OK. I'll stay here." He leaned against the wall, still holding Ash.

"And get in more trouble? No thanks."

Colton grabbed a sword. "En garde."

Ash smiled slightly as he fell asleep against Levi, his trembling started to lessen .

"But this totally isn't fair! We did nothing wrong!" He pouted.

"You go first." She said, readying herself.

Alaric walked down the hall, running a hand through his hair, dark rings under his eyes.

Levi looked up, searching for Gen.

"We did disobey," she pointed out.

"I'm honored." Colton waited a moment before attacking her ribs.

Isabella came up behind Alaric and hugged him around the waist.

Gen opened the door, where she had been behind this whole time and smiled, "Thank you," she said quietly.

"But Ash told us to!" he reminded.

Claudia danced out of the way, slicing at his sides as she moved around him.

Alaric turned his head to the side and smiled, "Hey." he murmured tiredly.

Levi just nodded as to not wake him. He smiled, using one hand to stroke the little boy's hair.

"But we listened."

Colton jumped to the side and turned, returning the blow in the same moment.

Isabella kissed his tired face. "Go sleep, darling."

Kieran patrolled the grounds, making sure his men were where they should be.

Gen sat down next to them, and kissed Levi on the cheek. She wanted him to stay, to help raise the kids.

"Still, Ash should be in trouble." Finn complained, unaware of Ash's condition.

Claudia deflected it at the last moment and backed away, "You're good, sweetie." she smirked.

"Too much to do." Alaric said, shrugging off the want to sleep, "Gotta keep moving."

Erza walked through the courtyard, her fiery red hair swaying as she moved. Her blue eyes scanned around, a fierce look in them as she crossed her arms over her armored chest.

"He's a good kid," he whispered.

"Gen probably punished them. I would think so."

Isabella smiled sympathetically. "Let me deal with them."

Kieran spotted Ezra. "Have you seen Levi?"

"Yeah," Gen said quietly, smiling at Ash before looking at Levi, "You know . . this could become a daily thing for you . ."she started awkwardly, looking at her hands.

"I wanna go see Jennings, though." Finn said, heading towards the door.

"No, I couldn't possibly let you." he said, kissing her on the cheek, "I need to keep my mind on something."

Erza looked over at him, her frown deepening, "I saw him go into the estate with some girl."

Mercy sat outside under a tree, trying to relax, but everything that had happened made her feel tense and tired. She plucked at grass absentmindedly, letting her mind wander.

Ben walked over to Mercy and smiled, kissing her on the forehead before sitting down next to her, "How are you holding up?"

"I'm fine, just a little worn out." Mercy replied, resting her head on his shoulder.

Ben ran a hand up and down her arm, "It's been hectic, I know." he said quietly.

"It has. How are you?" Mercy asked, looking up at him

"I've been better... just tired." He sighed heavily.
